Great stay, perfect location

Great hotel. Great location to metro, sites, restaurants and bars. Not in super touristy area but still walkable to everything you need. Metro station within a few mins walk. Situated in a fantastic areas with good bars and restaurants. Check out the micro brewery nearby and funkt wine bar. Hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. Can’t fault much really. Only thing I would say is the lighting in the rooms could be better, decor is a little dark. Pillows could be better but that’s subjective.

Not suggested for long stays

Not suggested for a long stay, they put us in a very dark room on first floor with only one window and the tiny balcony was next to the air-conditioning unit which was noisy when we were opening the door. Also our balcony was separated just by a plant with the next room's making it less safe. In the room amenities it writes that there are Nespresso machines in the room, however, our room had just a kettle. I am pretty sure that they put us in the worst room of the hotel, which again would be ok if we were staying for two days but for a week it ended up being claustrophobic and not a place that you can relax during the day. Other than that the mattress is very comfortable, however the pillows seemed low quality. They also have pretty nice slippers and they offer water which is a plus. The decoration of the room is great but overshadowed by how dark is the room. The location is very safe and near good spots for food and drinking. Overall okay but there are other hotels nearby that offer better value for money.

We had a great stay here for a short trip. We were able to check in earlier after an early morning flight and the hotel was fantastic. Comfortable clean rooms, very helpful staff and perfect central location, everything we wanted was walkable distance. We are planning to return to Porto and this hotel

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful property which is centrally located in Porto city! The hotel and the area around is very safe and upscale. There is also a parking garage close-by. Beautiful hotel located next to the city hall in Porto. I knew immediately as we were greeted by the front desk staff that this was the place for us. Easy access to public transport and Porto sights. Plenty of restaurants to choose within short walking distance. We were treated extremely well by every member of the staff we encountered. Excellent job Axis folks!!!
