A few issues with housekeeping but soon rectified. No milk for the hot drinks in room and hot drinks in breakfast room were not very hot. Food was excellent but the cooked food was lukewarm. Otherwise was excellent hotel and staff helpful and friendly

Shops were a bit of a walk away but not a problem. The hotel & staff were excellent and we really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The restaurant was fantastic for breakfasts the evening meal we had and the roof terrace was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel and great location.

The hotel is beautiful and so are the rooms. The upgraded river view was slightly misleading because trees block the view of the river. And the rooftop bar never had a server the 5 times we tried to have a drink up there, so we had to carry drinks from downstairs. Other than that we loved the hotel and would recommend it.

The four of us, including our two sons who are in their early twenties, stayed for five nights in two rooms. The hotel managed to provide a twin room for the boys which was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. The location was good for us, although it is at the top of a hill so staying there keeps you in shape.

Well positioned to be close to all the action but not in the middle of all of the action which was perfect for us. Access to Yellow Bus tour bus stop 3. Right next to the beautiful Crystal Gardens. Wonderful restaurant in the hotel called Exuberant. We loved our stay in Porto!

Fantastic staff and food was outstanding.

This hotel was run extremely well. Staff were friendly and attentive and befitting of a 5* hotel. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was top class. We also used the rooftop pool which had great views but limited sun loungers on a busy day. However, there was additional seating around the bar area. Their chauffeur parking service was also very useful for us.

We had a very relaxing five days at the Altis, the staff were helpful, accessible and friendly throughout. The bottle of wine to welcome us was a lovely surprise. We made use of the excellent gym and spa facilities every day before hitting Porto. We loved the location and view of the Douro from our room - quiet but just a 15 minute walk into the centre or quayside.
