We booked this hotel based on reviews and I'm unsure how it got such great reviews. The smell in the room was very off putting, strong musty smell. We went to Walmart to purchase an air freshener which helped slightly. There were no washcloths in the room but they did provide 2 upon requesting them. There is road noise from the busy road in front. It is convenient to Lighthouse park which we did walk across the busy highway to get to. The breakfast was very basic (not much of a selection) but at least something is offered. I would suggest they add a toaster with bread, english muffin or bagel selection. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging. I felt indifferent about writing a less than excellent review, however, We think other potential guests should be aware that the rating of this hotel/motel did not meet our expectations based on previous reviews. We would not stay here if I took a future trip to the area.

When I asked for a late check out I was told I would need to pay for another day, the rooms are hot and needed a fan in order to be somewhat comfortable.

I called before my stay and felt rushed off the phone, so i was worried how the stay would be. But Jay called me back and helped me. Staff was very friendly. There were a lot of people hanging out outside when we got there, but inside the room we couldn't hear anything. I left some personal items in the room and they quickly helped me get my stuff back. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable.

It was an older hotel that was very nicely updated. Beautiful view of Lighthouse Beach right outside our front door of our room. Couldn't have asked for a better location.

It was a pleasant stay. However it is an older place. The weather turned cold and our heater quit for 2 nights, However the manager was very nice and brought us a heater. The manager was a very nice man and did what ever to make us conmfortable.
