I was very disappointed with my stay here and with Expedia as well. Upon arrival I went to check in by the “Expedia” and it took almost an hour to check in there was only one person on that side. We were never offered anything to drink while waiting and we had a toddler you can only imagine. Also we booked this specific resort because we wanted our daughter to enjoy the water park but it was CLOSED during our stay and we were never told that during our arrive we found out once went to check it out! It would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time or at least upon arrival. They could have given us free entry to either the bowling, laser or the acade room but nothing. Also the staff was somewhat friendly we would ask for curtainly tequila and “they didn’t have it” but once we said I’ll give you $$$ they would be like oh let me see if we have it!! At the poolside bars we when we would go up we would have to ask for our drinks not like other places we been to staff would be friendly and ask you how can they help or what would you like. Some staff was friendly some weren’t. Honestly this is my first time I ever write a review I was just very upset and disappointed that the water park for kids was closed and we were never notified ahead of time we were looking forward for our daughter to enjoy. The food was pretty good unlike other resorts I’ll give them that. The beach side was not but the best. For a nice beach go to Costa Mujeres! We stayed at the Catalonia loved it !

The customer service at Royalton Splash Cancun is impeccable ! The staff made the stay so pleasant! They were very nice and accommodating. Our concierge Saraima set up all our reservations for us. Memo with concierge gave us a tour and walked us to our upgraded room and made sure everything was ok. I wasn’t expecting the upgraded room, it was nice. We were greated by the manager Cesar and given his info in case we needed anything. Abraham the restaurant manager, was awesome, he checked on us every night, at different restaurants and made sure we were taken care of! We received VIP treatment and we enjoyed every bit of it! Everytime they saw us they said “Hey Family!” The resort and rooms were clean. The food at the restaurants was great. Our fav restaurants was Zen and The Cave. The pools are nice and clean, and they had activities for people of all ages day and night. Really enjoyed the all white party. We enjoyed our stay and will be booking again.

The Resort was extremely beautiful and so packed with things to do and places to eat. The staff was extremely kind and helpful at all times. Especially when my wife and I first arrived at the Royalton Splash, we were immediately greeted with Expedia’s exclusive staff, who assisted us to kindly and fast with no issues. Not only did that same staff assist us with anything we needed during our week long stay, but the Expedia member on site, Cesar, checked on us daily and helped with ANYTHING we needed. He really made our anniversary very relaxing and pleasant.

I would not book at this resort or recommend this resort. As they tried to make us special due to booking through Expedia it made it much more inconvenient. Instead of checking in at the check-in desk the staff member made us walk toward the back to check in and at that was pitching a time share when all my family wanted to do is check to be able to get to our room. We told her we were not interested but persisted. We finally got the to “Expedia check-in area” and it was chaotic, as not enough room for the guests. When finally we were attended to it was rushed and chaotic. Two staff members talked to me at the same time throwing important information at once. No map of the resort was provided and was informed we would not use the Royalton app due to we will receiving direct messages through WhatsApp which I found inconvenient. After check in the same staff member that walked us out and she was to show us to our room but instead kept persistent on the time share. We finally informed please show us to our room, instead she just said ok just go around the corner and our room was there which it was not, we had ask to find out room. When we finally were able to settle in our room and tried to get some food, the buffet was closed and the food truck ran out of burgers and only had fries. We tried the the sports grill and not enough staff as the line went out the door. All restaurants required a reservation and if booked late they were out food. Will not stay here again.

The property is great but the food is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!! Also 98% of the staff were great!! However, immediately upon check-in their vacation person tried to get us to sign up for a presentation. Also, despite having late check-out, when half our party left at 9am they berated them about the rest of us also not checking out as well. Also, I think they intentionally put the kids bracelets on loose so they can charger you $150. My son's came off the first day less than an hour after it was put on. It came off again the last day and we left it in the room. When we went to check out, they wanted me to pay $150 and refused to let us leave until doing so. After refusing and asking for a supervisor, they let us leave. I saw other people arguing the same thing. I will not be back!

Great place to go with kids. Check in was great thanks to Cesar Eslava and his team. They made sure we were taken care of. Lots of activities and restaurants to choose from. Resort does a great job with keeping everyone busy, they had multiple activities planned during the day in the pool and in the evening. Big water park is great for kids 10 and up, smaller splash park is cute for younger kids. Food is as expected for an all inclusive but the hibachi restaurant was great. All you can eat ice cream was a hit. Beach was not the best; but seaweed is expected this time of the year. If you’re looking for a large resort for a family trip - this is the place to be!
