When I saw the 9.6 rating for the price I booked pretty fast without thinking too hard about it. I will say it’s still great, I would give it a 9/10, but I have to think the ratings are inflated by the suites whereas I had a single queen bed hotel room. My room was fine, everything was clean and worked, it was just a little simple. The pool is fantastic though, it’s set in jungle greenery that I don’t think many other places in town have.

The room is very outdated and doesn’t look clean. Hot water was not working well. We could hear the loud noise from nearby bars till 2am every nights. The garden and location is good though.

Perfect Location and spacious affordable rooms

Had an amazing stay at Riviera Maya Suites. The location is right next to the beach which is perfect for families and if you don't want beach water the pool area is pretty is nice with the greenery and stone work at pool area. I stayed at the 3 bedroom penthouse and the rooms were so spacious, clean, and modern. It's amazing how each bedroom had their own spacious bathroom which impressed my friends since we all appreciated that it was a perfect vacation space for my group of friends. It's also convenient there is laundry room that comes with laundry soap. We had our own personal balcony and rooftop Terrence which was a unique feature I had never had before. The location has many stores and restaurants within walking distance. I always felt safe since there is security at eh building and police that look out down the street. Staff were friendly and nice and helped with whatever we needed. Price was affordable for holiday weekend and for the space you get with the penthouse. Would definitely come back when in Playa Del Carmen again.

We've been to Playa multiple times and have stayed in all different locations. We loved this place and its location the best! Just a block from the beach but a view of 5th Ave...The best of both worlds.

Really cute small property right in the middle of the action of the city, but with landscaping that made you feel like you were actually in the middle of the jungle. Perfect stay for family, friends, solo, or couple!

Loved staying here. We had a garden suite which was a beautiful little oasis to come back to after being in the crowds. Playa has become a very busy crowded place but we enjoy the amazing dining options therefore never stay at a resort. The suite was spacious and comfortable and the staff were amazing. Will definitely put it at the top of places we’ve stayed in Playa.

Wonderful stay. Lovely big unit with two bedrooms and kitchen. Shower heads could use replacing and we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, but we never said anything to them, so we can’t really complain. I would stay again in a heart beat!

A couple of nights in Playa del Carmen

We had a good stay at Riviera Maya Suites. We enjoyed the amenities, location and swimming pool. The service (tone) was not the best at reception but it was better after this, Make sue to have a room/flat overlooking the garden and not the street to avoid the noise from the quinta avenida.

Beautiful hotel - great location!

The location is awesome next to the main tourist strip, but it's on a quieter street so it's not so loud. Beautiful grounds. They have two friendly cats! The pool and jacuzzi looked nice.
