Nice convenient hotel in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Everything was very close by. From dining options to shopping and clubs. Just a block away from 5th avenue with its many attractions.

Too loud and too hot.

Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly. Good location to be close to the action. Con’s: It’s like trying to sleep on the dance floor of a night club. Air conditioning is basically non existent. We were only there for 2 nights so didn’t make a fuss and not sure if it was just our room. Would not return or recommend.

This hotel is a no go for me for no fault of theirs. It's close to the pedestrian area and the beach, which is amazing for daytime. But at night the club next door plays heavy EDM so unless you go to bed after 3-4pm it make it unbearably noisey. Great, clean, beautiful hotel. But I cannot recommend staying there unless for party people.

Was good at one time changed

We normally stay here when traveling thru but this last time the room had mold on all lamp shades . The Bongo Gong nite club music kept me up all nite . Staff is super no complaints. Clean up mold get new lamp shades. Water is very much needed they cut the coffee in room also . Not good .

Not as good as it was .

We asked for a quiet room however all nite heard music . This hotel try’sto be clean but lamp shade on all lamps have mold painted over dust . Should replace mold is bad to inhale .no more coffee in room or water bottles . Told its budget cuts .

Mix up but great service

Mix up with booking but they put us up at sister hotel and rode us there as well as dropped us at bus station to airport next day . We book here when we travel thru Mexico frequently like the location and service . It’s a bit older hotel but kept clean . Friendly staff .

The location was convenient for our plans the pool was excellent, the receptionist needs more training and take time to explain the functionality of the door key, remote control for TV as well for the temperature controller, and should do something about those dispatching the taxi service in front of the hotel prices too high for travelers or tourists.

This property is beautiful! The staff are great, the cleaning crew are amazing and the facilities are kept so clean and sanitized! The Suite we stayed was big and so much natural light! One thing I will say, if you are a light sleeper, don’t stay here. There is a club next-door that don’t turn off onto 2:45 AM but other than that I will stay here again and I will recommend this hotel to everyone that asks

We actually had a few stops. A couple of days in Xcaret, a couple of days in Bacalar and we needed one night before our flight and that’s how we ended up in La Hacienda del Caribe. Maybe cuz is in el centro but we walked in the first thing you saw was the pool, not one more person fit it just look filthy. The best thing about our room was the air conditioner. Is an old hotel so if you’re going to be out and about then is okay for the price.

It’s a 2 stars and not a 4 stars hotel as rated in the review. I was sent to rate the hotel before I even checked in, odd. The check in process was simple. As soon as I walked into the room, it looked old I just wanted to leave. The room has a horrific smell. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. I stayed for one night n checked out early the next day. Wouldn’t recommended.

Our 3-4 stay here each time it’s very good service . Clean rooms tho a bit older hotel they keep it clean . We were upgraded to a very nice suite which I wished we had more time to enjoy . Had 2 balconies huge room with huge bathroom. The check in clerk forgot his name was very professional and kind . Will continue to stay here in future.

Thr lady at front desk was super helpful , room wasn’t ready it was raining and busy .She took our luggage to office said half hr room ready and we went to get a bite to eat. Returned room was ready . My only complaint is zero WiFi. I asked the young mand as the sweet lady was gone. He said no WiFi it happens ALOT ! I asked can’t you ck it and reboot router - nope ! People need WiFi to confirm flights etc this needs urgent attention. Otherwise very nice hotel.

No hot water .

Was checked in after going to the other hotel very confused because both have similar name web page is same . This bigger hotel has no hot water and more noise at night then the smaller one on 5 th . I like the smaller cleaner has hot water .
