Well the overwhelming smell of weed for our stay was not our biggest concern. It could have been either the fact that no one made sure the door on the end stayed locked and shut all the way or that I requested a room for 3 was given a king size bed and told a cot wouldn’t fit in the room. We had police one evening and 2 woman soliciting for drugs and sex. Mind you we were 3 women in town for a funeral. My 91 year old grandmother thought I was having money trouble and afraid something was gonna happen to us. So thanks for the horrible signage out front and spending 30 mins on the chutes and ladder board of 131 trying to find the location. The carpet is so sticky and gross it needs to be changed and only google tv no cable that only half worked.

outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading.

Trash

It was clean for the most part but don’t look to close cause it definitely needs a deep clean. But then to start it was a busy weekend but I don’t care you know ahead if you are fully booked. They had NO towels and gave us hands towels to use for showers, no pool towels, ran out of TP, and part of the weekend NO breakfast cause they ran out of supplies! We are paying for the amenities so I expect to have them. Go drive to Walmart or call a sister hotel to get more supplies . I’m not usually hard to please but this was and is not right. Our air in our room wasn’t working correct it was gross and damp. So needless to say I don’t recommend. Cause you never know you might get food might not, might have TP and might not and you might get a hand towel to dry off with. Oh and their little pantry shop to buy your own food was empty all weekend not even a water after the first day we arrived. Just very frustrating.

Charging $17.+ for continental breakfast was not cool, carpet outside of elevator (only 1 elevator was working) was wrinkled. Room, parking was fine. Nor sure that we will return in future...maybe go over to HI Express??

This hotel is in a good location on I-80; 120 miles East of Chicago. It’s in Sturgis, Michigan, just over the state line from Indiana. I read some negative comments about the dated nature of the hotel. Seems it’s been updated (paint, carpeting). Breakfast options were decent too. We found it perfect for our needs.
