Pleasant stay

My son and I had a nice stay here. Prathamesh and his colleague were extremely welcoming and helpful on our first evening. Our room was very compact, but clean and comfortable. There was a kettle in the room with limited cups, spoons and teabags/sugar. I think the hotel could improve on it's complimentary drinks and toiletries. The breakfast was great, plenty of variety, although you had to get there early, as they did run out of alot of optons by 9am (breakfast was served til 10am). Staff who were running the breakfast area were quite abrupt on both mornings we went for breakfast; they did not appear to uphold the same standards of customer service as the front of house team, which was a shame. The hotel has a very limited food menu, but there are restaurants nearby. We were able to order on deliveroo, and staff members were happy for us to eat in the main dining area. The hotel is a bit further away from the town centre, but there a buses which stop 2 minutes away which take you into the town, and these ran quite frequently. Overall, a very good experience, and good value for money. We would definitely stay again.

Room is dated and bathroom is worn out. Water leakage from the ceiling light was a nuisance. Staff was efficient to help move us to another room but there is only so much they can do for the not so well maintained property.

Stay was ok only one night ,staff excellent room was very nice but not much room to get out of one side of bed as it was about 1foot from the wall ! Also pillows were very uncomfortable.

The staff at the front desk was so nice and so friendly! Breakfast is included and it was pretty good compared to other Hilton’s. They also have 24 seven service at the front desk They have things like pizza wings sodas. They were nice enough to refill our water bottles for us and always gave us the ice we asked for.

It was a lovely hotel. The air conditioning was lovely in the heatwave. Breakfast was good. Disappointed no evening meals available, but were a couple of restaurants within a quarter of a mile. Interesting to learn about the historic monastery adjacent to the hotel. reception provided some useful information to read about it.

Hampton or Premier?

Clean comfortable room perfect for an easy stay. Free parking and free breakfast (surprisingly good) made it a good choice compared to nearby Premier Inn.
