Everything is good except sound proof system (maybe I'm staying in 2nd floor with a window near the street) and check-out time at 1000hrs is too early and check-in time is too late (totally only 18 hours stay, is too short)

Overall, excellent stay here at Toyoko Inn Osaka Nippombashi Bunraku Gekijo Mae. We stayed for 7 nights from Dec 22 to Dec 28. The room is clean and tidy. Good varieties on free breakfast but did get busy during the breakfast period. Room only came with two sets of towels, we had to pay 100Yen per towel for our kids as fees. Location is super convenient for stores / markets, restaurants and subways.

Our “non-smoking” room and floor smelled like someone was smoking. Had to endure this and moved the next night so we didn’t get proper rest since we needed to stay out as if we checked out and in all over again.

If you're looking for a cheap yet clean hotel in Osaka, choose this one. The hotel is in walking distance of Dotonbori, Den Den Town and Namba Station. It's amazing how quiet it is once you get in the hotel room and the staff are extremely helpful. Bonus it's a 30 second walk to a 7/11 convenience store from the hotel entrance and there are hundreds of restaurants nearby.

The good: Rooms are clean. Hotel is just next to Kuromon Market. The not-so-good: When making reservation for 2 twin rooms, it was not indicated that rooms are smoking type. After receiving reservation confirmation, I tried requesting for change to non-smoking rooms. Unfortunately, non-smoking rooms are not available. We hoped the rooms will be well cleaned and will not smell of cigarette smoke. Upon arrival, I was directed to check-in at 1 of 2 machines in front of reception desk. I was unable to complete the check-in process, as the machine required a reservation number, which is not provided for reservations made via Expedia. I spent some time reviewing the reservation confirmation, and even tried inputting a long reservation number from Expedia, to no avail. The hotel staff requested for my passport, and retrieved reservation numbers from her end. It would have been a less painful process if the staff simply handled the check-in process, instead of directing guests to the machines immediately. There were 2 staff at the reception desk, and they were not handling any guests. After entering the rooms, they reeked of cigarette smoke. I tried opening the window to air the room, but we will look into the rooms opposite us. To maintain privacy for both us and the rooms opposite, we kept our window and curtains closed. We tried spraying air freshener, which helped a little. At night, however, the cigarette smoke got worse due to smoking neighbours.

I stayed in a double bed room. It was a good size. The breakfast is delicious, but the variation doesn’t alternate often. The washer and dryer have instructions in Japanese. Use Google Translate to help you use them. Their washer will require to buy a 30 yen soap that is right next to the washer. You pay 100 yen for every 10 minutes of the dryer. 40 min should be enough. They do not help you send your luggage through Yamato, but behind the hotel (2 min away) there is a Yamato and the ladies are extremely kind and helpful. Even though they do not help you mail your luggage they do receive it. I sent mine 2 days before and they took care of it in the lobby for me. All of the staff was very kind and would greet you good morning. I felt everything was walking distance from this hotel. I would come back.

Amazing, friendly staff. Clean room with a large bath. Multiple USB charging points in the room. Breakfast was great. Currently at a hotel twice the price with a paid for breakfast which isn't half as good.

Very friendly, accommodating and convenient area. I didn’t need to worry about walking far for transportation. And most of the places I wanted to visit was just walking distance. And the place was surrounded with dining areas and take-outs. They also offer a free breakfast that was so delicious. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed their tamago, it is sweet and savory.
