The most homy and friendly atmosphere. Comfort bedding and clean. Takuya is very nice, helpful and speak a few languages. Occationally we can mingle and have party with other guests.

The best place to stay near Dōtonbori area

The hotel is in a good location, near a lot of restaurants and several subway stations, besides Dōtonbori river. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and there are two social areas, one in the 1F and the other at the top floor where you can meet other people, share a drink, watch tv or play videogames. During my stay we gathered there at night to talk about each person's day. Takuya is a great host, he can recommend you good places to eat or to visit and he is always looking how to make your stay better. If I return to Osaka, Dōtonbori base is the place I'll go with no doubt!

I liked the location, lots of places to eat walking distance and it was pretty close to public transportation making it easy to get around. The staff was excellent!

Clean & comfort room, Nice staff, Good location

Room and bathroom are clean, each dorm room (mix on 2nd fl or female on 3rd fl) has it own separated bathroom and toilet. Bed is big enough for comfort stay and come with 2 pillows and 1 super soft duvet. 2 Power supply sockets and a overhead lamp. Locker avail on the stair front of the room. 4th fl is common area with a bathroom and another toilet, fridge, microwave and sink. Goog signal wifi. Takuya and staff are very nice and helpful. The dorm near Dotonbori and Kuromon market, many 24 hours restaurants, Lawsons, Family mart and 7/11 nearby. Laundry can be found next door. Vending machines along the street. Near subway, Nankai and Jr Namba station.

Amazing hostel with amazing owner!

I came to Japan to get a visa so I didn't do much research beforehand. This hostel was close to the embassy and super cheap. To my surprise, it was in a SUPERB location. Lots of restaurants and shopping less than two minutes away. The hostel has a rooftop room where you can smoke and hang on the couches or use the computer. There is also a bar downstairs and Takuya makes some good dranks! Takuya was amaaaaazing! He showed me good spots to eat sushi and ramen. He even let me try to make takoyaki on my own in the hostel. There are video games and Netflix on the first floor too. Seriously, if I ever come back to Osaka - I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Takuya is the man. And Dotombori Base is great! Highly recommended!! Thanks for everything :)

Nice, Affordable Hostel in a Safe Neighborhood

My friend and I reserved a bunk each in the co-ed dormitories but were lucky enough to be upgraded to the female-only floor. We each had our own bunk bed (one on top of the other) and our bags were kept next to our bunk beds. We locked our suitcases but did not bother renting a locker because everyone seemed really nice and trustworthy. The dorm owner Takuya was kind enough to give recommendations of all his favorite restaurants and then he walked us to find the restaurant because he had an inkling that we'd get lost in the excitement of Osaka. We had a wonderful stay and he allowed us to keep our bags must later after check-out time.

가격도 저렴하고 도톤보리 접급성 좋고 니폰바시역도 바로 앞에 위치해 있어 교통도 편리 합니다. 잘 쉬다 갑니다~

快適でした

駅から近くとても便利でした。アメニティやタオル等はご自身で用意してください。忘れても便利な場所なので購入可能です。アラフィフなのでちょっと場違いかと心配しましたがスタッフの方がとても親切なので初めてホステルに泊まる方にも安心かと思います。私が泊まった時は同室に人がいるはずですが皆さんとても静かなので1人なのかと思うほどでした。これはその時に一緒になった方によるのでいつもとは言えないと思いますが、おかげでぐっすり寝ることができました。共有のリビングがあるのでそこで休憩することもできます。本当は2泊するつもりでしたが、都合により1泊になってしまったのが残念です。次回また大阪に行くときにはお世話になりたいと思う宿です。

이곳은 한국인들의 아지트입니다.

한국인 여행자를 만나고 싶으면 도톰보리 베이스를 와야 할 것 같습니다. 게스트하우스 자체는 오래 되어서 낙후된듯보입니다. 그러나 사장님이신 타쿠야상은 친절하고 시내안에 위치해 있기 때문에 좋았습니다. 리뷰에 남겨 있는 파티는 안하는 듯 보이며 휴게실에 한국인들 3~4명 모이면 알아서 잘 놀았습니다.

또 이용할 계획입니다!

일본 게하는 처음 방문 이었는데 호스트도 너무 친절했고 저녁에 여러나라사람들 모여서 이야기 하면서 일정을 같이 한부분도 너무 좋았습니다 침대도 걱정을 좀 한부분이 있지만 생각 보다 너무 아늑해서 좋았습니다

Simple is Best を体感できました

とても機能的で、且つ、大変に心地いい空間でした。全てにおいてシンプルな設定がなされていて、それでいてゆったりとしていて、くつろげました。大阪にはあまり用が無いのですが、こちらに宿泊できるなら、また大阪に行こうかと思うほど気に入ってしまいました。
