The hotel sas ice and the rooms were nice also i got to see the standard beachside rooms and the Family suite by Thunderbird. However between myself and my cousin we rented the poolside Cabanas. These things are not cleaned. For the price you pay to rent those during peak season and to encounter empty bottles under the TV stand Dirt on top of the TV and TV stand . A wet rag clean would do the Job but thars my pount not even that is done. Then i got a Cabana where there was Vomit and was not cleaned from the day before. There was also a young lady Lifeguard supervisor with the dark blue shirt that i had to approach to ask for the Poolside cabana service staff and i walked over and said" Excuse me I am looking for someone that can help me with rebting the cabana and he response beofre i could finsih was " I DONT SPEAK SPANISH in a extremely rude way. I said to her young lady i was clearly spekaing emglish if you had let me finish and not interrupt me you would have heard what I said . Her repoly was ohhhh my bad. Are we in the streets that we say my bad ? Is this how your employees soeak to customers??? What in the no manner having response is that!!! And lets say I was speaking spanish although I was bot. Is this the proper way to tell a guest that you do not speak spanish? #mannersneeded I do want to thank the two employees witht he light blue shirts assigned to the pool Cabanas service on 7/30 They were superb!!! Kudos to the young mand and young lady.

The rooms feel like the old rooms I used to stay at as a kid in a cheap $40 room in Kissimmee with my parents. The sofa bed was the worst sofa ged I’ve ever slept in my life. Felt like bricks. The family “suite” is really not a suite whatsoever. I would definitely not stay here again. My kids enjoyed the pool but what kid doesn’t? They charge for Floaties in the lazy river like who does that? Not even the 5 star resort charges for floats for their lazy river. I hope they either remodel their rooms and maybe have real suites with a two bedroom, or lower the price to what it really feels like, a cheap motel inn with a pool and lazy river. Those rooms where not worth $400 a night.

The vintage feel was my favorite part!!! Walkable to Volcano Bay and shuttles to the parks!! Pizza delivery and milkshakes! The two things I’d change are luggage sent to the room and there shouldn’t be a charge for parking if you are a guest.

Check in was slow, room too small. Had to go back to lobby and Ryan took care of us. He was soooo nice. It was such a relief after long layover, extra hour in air due to bad weather, long line picking up rental car at airport. And long wait checking in. Our stay was great, 2nd room was perfect for the 5 of us. Really appreciated the shower and commode being separate. Loved the lazy river. Had fun!

Absolutely love staying here! Very kid friendly, lots to do. If you get tired of roaming the hotel, with your room key you can go to the other universal hotels and get access to their pools and restaurants. There’s constant shuttles to City Walk until 2 AM! Cabana Bay is a great family hotel. The hotel lacks healthy food options in a full-service capacity. We had an incident where the music was so loud on a Sunday morning that we all woke up to it. We were told this is the standard. When I asked a manager why they would blare music for the one person at the pool (8:10 am) versus the 100s sleeping, they turned it down. I genuinely think this was an error but why it has to be pointed out baffles me. The staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our trip.
