We go every year and they keep updating and adding new amenities to the property which is great. We really enjoyed our room and how family friendly it’s the whole property. We will continue going every year until my kid is older. He is four now and it’s perfect for him.

Ice machine full of moldy ice, room phone didn’t work, dumpster was too close to the rooms. Room service came in unannounced and we didn’t order anything. Maids took our couch pillows and bedding before our stay was over.

Day 1 arrived everything seemed fine. Day 2 woke up and noticed puddles on the floor and a clump of blond hair in our bathtub (my children and I are brunette) I immediately went to reception and asked if it could be cleaned before we get back as we were going to universal for a few hours. Get back 7 hours later - still puddles on the floor and guess what? Clump of hair there. So they offer to move us rooms. Fine. We move rooms and immediately notice the faucet in the new room sprays water and the toilet picks and chooses when it wants to flush. Oh and the microwave is broken and doesn’t turn on. Day 3 back to reception to complain. They send someone up to fix faucet/toilet and new microwave. Toilet is still iffy but we leave tomorrow so whatever. I got tell them all these inconveniences are really killing the vibe of vacation and first they offer one day of resort credit, that doesn’t feel reasonable on a $2000 vacation. They end up crediting all resort fees ($202) and told me I needed to contact Expedia for anything further. Day 4 we leave I’ve spent over an hour dealing with Expedia saying I needed to contact them while at the resort.

There was a nice inner garden, ok waterpark... but where my room was it was just a 2 star motel in a suburb. Would have been better off elsewhere at half the price.

We were so pleasantly surprised by CoCo Key. We live in Orlando and chose to do an end of summer staycation. I've looked at this place many times over the years, but was always a bit discouraged by the low-star reviews. I am so glad we gave it a shot. Our experience was fabulous! DO NOT judge a book by it's cover! The waterpark is great. No long waits for the slides. Three areas to swim and play, half of them under shade.We went to Aquatica the next weekend and 2 of my kids said they like CoCo Key better because they didn't have to wait in lines.Every employee was so friendly.The people manning the slides were helpful, always smiling, helping little kids into the tubes.We paid extra for the breakfast (which was amazing) and even the employees there were all smiles and so kind. For a place that is constantly dealing with tourists and foreigners I was very impressed. We ate all our meals at the Resort and everything was served in a timely way and the food was tasty. Breakfast we great (paid extra for this).Everything we ate was very tasty. They had tons of options.Coffee was not great--probably instant--but we are also big coffee snobs and I never expect hotel coffee to be good. No complaints about our room. Nothing special, just your standard room, but it comfortably fit our family 5 so that was a win for us. Before we left my husband pulled the manager aside and told him that whatever they are doing with their employees to keep it up. We will for sure be back!
