Reserved a dog-friendly room with King bed, I blame Hotels.com for showing that as one of the available choices because it was NOT. So we were moved to a dog-friendly with double queen beds. Supposed to have dog dishes, blanket and towel in the room, they were not. They were provided when I went to ask though. Fridge wasn't on or even plugged in. Room had a very unpleasant smell which got better after opening door & turning fan on high. Furniture shabby and stained, even the lamp shades. Bed was very comfortable and the view was great from the balcony, with easy access to the bay beach which we really enjoyed with our pup... so those were pluses. It was OK for a 1-night stay but would not go back.

Well its an old MOTEL parking lot is tight in the space but they have plenty of parking. Room w/ balcony preety spacious sink is seperate from toilet and shower. Freezer in the fridge frozen with ice,pillow cases/pillows smelled unclean smelled like someone else had to wrap the pillows up in towels the room has no A/C had to.keep screen door open and prop it with the iron board to get air circulation

Before you go...

Understand before you book. The lobby is closed from 7a-10p every day. There is no way to call the hotel directly without using the cockamamie phone tree OYO has set up. Be sure you have your booking number. Type it in correctly the first time, or you will be immediately disconnected and have to start over again. A Hotels.com reservation number does not work. You will have to call hotels.com to have them call the property. This is an old beachfront motel. It is not fancy. The two times I went to the front desk, including my check-in, I was greeted with a message that said back in five minutes. The person I dragged my bags past while she sat and smoked while watching me happened to be the front desk person. She definitely finished her smoke before attending to any guests. She reeked of cigarettes. The rooms are dingy, the table tops are warped and damaged, and a hose outside would have been a better shower. The photos do not do this property justice.

Very impressed with the staff. Jeremiah at the front desk was helpful, friendly and cheery. Room was clean, the bed was comfy and had colorful sheets which made it feel homey. The bay was a great place to wade and play in shallow calm water. I walked to restaurants and around the small town. Only suggestion would be to add more protein and/or sugarless options for breakfast.
The sunset was beautiful and having a small fire on the beach to roast marshmallows and make s’mores was delightful.

This hotel needs a few updates, but is a clean, comfortable place to sleep and a great location. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I believe every room has an ocean/bay view. We would stay here again.
