It was okay. No a/c in the hottest part of the year and when ice and wind from the sliding door is the only thing that makes it bearable. Check in was easy but the first room lights didnt work. They switched us to smaller room and it was okay.

Upon arrival, the air conditioning went out. We were never notified ahead of time. We were told that we could stay and bear with it or receive a full refund with cancellation. I asked if we could stay and if it would get fixed, in which the employee said they were preparing to close down the hotel? So I was being told two different things. We were issued our refund but what frustrated me even more was that there were no hotels in the area available. We’re on a road trip and planned specifically to spend some time in Olympia but had to drive 4 HOURS (2 hours each way) out of our road trip way to another affordable hotel. I kindly requested compensation for the extra mileage we needed to do with our rental car + compensation for the new hotel (which cost more) and all I got was “sorry for the inconvenience but issuing a refund is all I can do”. What a horrible experience. Avoid!

AC was broken and it's been hot. Windows had to be open for it to be tolerable, but it's super noisy in downtown and sleep was disrupted constantly. The shower oscillated from cold to scalding hot. Expedia did not update to say the property has no AC. Hotel offered free cancellation, but it's hard to change plans once I've arrived. Not a good experience.

Booked 2 months ago and arrived at the property for check in to be told the AC had been out for a month and a half. This was a weekend for an athletic event where the weather was in the 90's. We were told no refund but that we could go to the store to buy a fan and if we had a tool and no kids we could remove the bolt from a sliding glass door in the room to open it for some air. Meanwhile on the 5th floor we remove the bolt (I had pliers in my car) and proceed to open the door with only a small rail on the other side only to have the door immediately come off the tracks and begin to topple over the balcony. Somehow we held on and pulled the door into the room. We immediately went downstairs to the front desk and were just told thanks for keeping the door safe. OSHA safety hazard violation, unsafe where also upon checking in we were told to keep things locked and leave nothing out but apparently a big gaping hole in the wall was fine. We were told corporate was selling that location and it was shutting down for renovation at some point so they aren't concerned about fixing anything or notifying bookings that have already been paid because they won't issue a refund. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

We loved the view of the capitol and the harbor from the top floor room. The AC was out and the room was near 100 degrees both days in spite of everything we could do, so we did not sleep until well past midnight each night when it cooled down enough to be comfortable.

We checked in on one of the hot summer day and the checkin staff offered us refund because they dont have AC working in rooms. The condition of the property is really poor however the staff has done their best. We just went to target and bought ourselves few fans just to be able to sit in the room. Not sure about sleeping yet.

They’re trying but property is very worn out

The staff was helpful and nice. The property is incredibly worn out. Very little was actually broken but things were so worn they might break down at any time. The AC was broken on a very hot day. The bathtub was so worn I couldn’t tell if it was dirty or not.

Booked this hotel June 19th. Upon arrival July 11th we were greeted at the desk with ‘good news + bad news, what do you want to hear first?’ Turns out the AC was out and it had been out for over a month! Yet, no mention of this when we booked the hotel! Obviously it was too late to book alternative accommodations as everything was booked or a hotel > 20 miles away for over $400! It was 85F in the room and upon asking’ no fans available so I had to buy my own! Do NOT book this hotel!
