Lobby floor and aesthetics of the overall hotel were subpar at best and especially for a place like York, ME which is lovely. Way too much money for absolutely little service and amenities.

All we wanted to do was relax and watch tv. The tv had to be set up.Even after setup we couldn’t get the channels, the reception manager tried to get the channels but couldn’t,so we changed rooms and the reception manager came and finally figured out how to access channels. Also, the phone in the first room didn’t work and neither did the phone in the second room! We appreciated the efforts of the manager to rectify the situation , but we are shocked that the phones didn’t work in either room to be able to call down to the desk.

The staff was rude unfriendly. The motel needs to be remodeled. The free breakfast was reheated from the day before. Would not advise anyone to stay there. Did not clean our room no vacuum the floor or changed our sheets on the bed. We had to ask for clean towels n toilet paper. We emptied our own trash.

Staff was good and the everything was clean but the hotel is very run down. Stains and chips on the toilet seat and the shower. Stains on the walls and sheets. The mattress was hard as a rock. The TV was smaller than my computer monitor and all of the words and numbers had worn off the remote control. Was not worth the price.

Didn't live up to its name.

For the price and the area, I expected better, more professional service. Waited around to be checked in by a guy wearing shorts and a Tshirt. Nobody at check-out. Room was great, good size, plenty of surfaces. However, bathroom was poor. The shower was atrocious, no water pressure, small showerhead, and the valve between shower and bathtub never closed fully in either direction so a lot of the water I needed from the showerhead just went down the tub spout. Poor.

Phone service not good in the area. Not a problem just in hotel but all surrounding places. Terrible tv. Had to have (owner?) come to our room and help us. Rooms very clean. Lobby area flooring lifting up but due to be upgraded by Christmas.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 days. The room was nice and clean when we arrived. Parking was easy and there was a complimentary breakfast everyday( basic scrambled eggs, toast, waffles). I liked that they had washing machines as well. The one thing I disliked was the housekeeping. I will say that I usually don’t like using housekeeping but, we had gone to the beach and gotten some sand on the floor. We only had housekeeping twice and both times, floors were not swept. Only garbages and bathroom towels were changed. Sheets were left untouched. Overall, we had a nice stay but housekeeping could use a little work.

The room smelled bad. Never changed our sheets. Gave us one fresh hotel for 2 people. The ice bucket had some mystery brown stuff caked inside of it. I had to get a new working key card 3 separate times, the keys were only good for one use and wouldn’t work after that.

Charged Early Check In Fee

We were attending a 4:30pm wedding. We called in the morning to see if we could check in early to allow us time to change into our formal attire & get to the wedding. We were told there was no room at that time. When we arrived @ 12:30 we were charged an extra $25 early check in fee but was never told over the phone of this fee. The hotel is old and needs updating. The hallway rug & doors to the rooms could use color and paint. For the price, I would not choose this hotel again.

2nd stay here

Good stay for a short time. Breakfast was pretty good. Room was lacking. I miss the mirrors that used to be above the bed (stayed here back in 2016). Room was smaller than expected but got the job done! Bed was loud and uncomfortable. Need to replace the mattress. Not good if you have lower back problems.
