The reception staff, lifts, amenities in the room etc are all up to a good standard and I found that everyone I spoke to was really friendly and helpful. We parked across the road in an ncp car park for a little over £15/24 hours. The location is perfect for shopping and getting to central events, which was the reason for our stay. The room was a good size and had a nespresso machine but the bathroom is dated and some of the furniture in the room is tired and needs replacing. The main issue though is noise. I am not a light sleeper and I don’t think I got more than 3-4 hours sleep. The doors to the rooms do not provide adequate noise cancelling to begin with so you can hear everything in the corridor and so I assume people outside can hear what’s going on in the room - not very private. Secondly, the hotel is near a nightclub. I tried to sleep between 12am and 7am and was awoken constantly by external music, screaming, shouting, singing, sirens and what sounded like someone hitting a bus stop screen or advert board repeatedly. I eventually remembered I had some ear plugs which meant I finally got some sleep, but even with those in I could still hear noise before I drifted off. The hotel could perhaps invest in better glazing to avoid this issue. I was on the 7th floor so goodness knows how it must feel to be on lower floors. A really good hotel at a fair price otherwise, but unfortunately if I can’t sleep, it’s a waste of money staying.

Pretty good, but with a few dissapointments: There weren't any small bed-side lights, only bright lights overhead The sink unit in the bathroom had no slope or edge to it, so any water spilt there runs over the front onto your feet or trousers.

We came for a night out in Nottingham everything was ok but my friend had to complain 3 times for the toilet not flushing and it still wasn’t fixed don’t really expect to pay a high price for toilet not working she had to ask for the money back for the breakfasts as else nothing was offered we wouldn’t rush back again seems to be plenty hotels around
