There were cigarette butts on the floor and it was a non smoking room. Bed was itchy. Smelled weird.
The rooms need updating and truly need a huge upgrade. Some of the staff have attitudes and have forgotten they work in hospitality, while others did amazing. It seemed as if all the rules were not enforced on all guest but mostly us, which we never were a problem and if something was said to us we made sure to address it. So if you have no other choice please consider some of the other hotels in the area, as this place will always be my family’s and I last option for our next stay in the Virginia Beach area.
Staying at this hotel made me want to see an infectious disease specialist after check out. How this establishment is allowed to keep rooms in such a deplorable state is beyond me. Stayed less than 6 hours. Only that long because my husband could not drive anymore and nothing else had availability at 2am. Told mgmt the deplorable condition of the room as was told they dont issue refunds. I've also called corporate since the mgmt at this franchise location doesn't seem to care.

This was the second worse place I’ve ever stayed in. The shower had hair everywhere. It most definitely was not cleaned before us. The toilet was also dirty but luckily not as bad as the shower. The room smelled like feet and cigarettes. The microwave was also dirty so I didn’t even use it. I wouldn’t let my kids sleep with the blankets they provided at all. I went to Target and bought blankets to lay on as well as sleep with. I understand the place is old but old doesn’t need to mean dirty.
My stay was great. I only stayed for one night. The staff was very cordial yet professional. My room was clean just signs of aging were present.I would definitely recommend this Red Roof Inn to friends and family
Rooms smelled like smoke, sheets and covers full of stains. My family and I used our own bedding…the bathrooms were outdated. The only saving grace is that the staff is amazing, you can tell they are doing the best with what they are given to work with.
The Wyndam Wyngate I stayed was a good value for the amenities that it shared, including an indoor pool, hot tub and a pretty damn good free breakfast. The service was on point and were happy to help you with any questions or needs. The hotel imcluding the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely refer this hotel to family and friends.
