This was our first stay at the inn, we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make it so memorable for us. Our room was spacious and very clean and all of the staff were so very pleasant. The food was delicious, the spa was amazing, and the inn is central to so many things you can walk to. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, very clean, spacious, central and relaxing I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Requested room service and it did not meet expectations (as if done to half capacity). The fireplace had nicks and paint spots missing all over it. Carvings (someones intials etc) into the walls of the bathroom just painted over. Reception area often smelled unpleasant. Overall did not meet expectations. Will not return.

Wow! A 7-foot steam shower in our room after getting soaking wet (on purpose!) on the Niagara Falls tour? This was a surprise, and the perfect warm-up after getting so chilled! Breakfast the next morning was outstanding....the flakiest croissants, French press coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, artichoke quiche! Our room was enormous. I've recommended this hotel to everyone we stayed with on our vacation to Ontario!

AG restaurant served excellent locally farmed organic foods. We had the beet salad and Caesar/kale salads. Both excellent. Same with the mains: duck and flank steak dishes. Hot. Nicely prepared. The duck in particular was a lean cut. There was a bit of a snafu with billing for the massage. Apparently the spa is a separate business from the hotel and will not bill to the room. Disappointed, because I even left my credit card info on file with the spa ahead of time for this reason, but they still asked my wife for immediate payment after the session which she had to go back to the room and pay using her own card. Don’t understand why they didn’t bill the card I left on file. Neither the front desk nor the spa could answer this question. Rooms are excellent. Spacious and clean. Bed was a bit too firm for my liking but that’s a personal preference.

Not so great the second time around

This was our 2nd stay at the Sterling. The entrance was under construction, we had to walk around the workers and step over their tools to get into the hotel - it was rather awkward. The room was large and had 2 levels. The bed was good. Oddly, the room didn’t have a separate bathroom, the shower opened to the room as was the sink. The toilet had a door. The shower didn’t have a light and was incredibly dark. My spouse shined his light into the shower to check the controls (it’s a steam shower) and we saw clumps of long brown hair on the floor of the shower. The breakfast was included and was lovely, the service was on time and the order accurate. Based on our most recent experience, we’d choose a different hotel, there’s a lot to choose from in Niagara Falls.

The staff were wonderful & the room was huge & clean. Th property is a little older but very nice. It’s also in a great area - walkable to shops dining, & things to do. Parking onsite was easy.
