Wanted to like it but can’t overcome the smell

We reserve this property for one night. It was rated very well, so I was expecting a decent clean functional room. The staff were very friendly all of them. The location is good also. The rooms are very old and you can tell there’s been no remodeling for a long time. They also stank. The air conditioning wasn’t running when we got in the room and it’s smelled very old musty and of mildew. There might’ve been mold in there as well as it felt like it. I left the room with a bad cough. I would not recommend this place and would not stay there again.

Nice room for the price, but a few big flaws

The employees were incredibly kind and the room was nice, but the elevators were a nightmare. There were long waits, and we regularly had to let two or three full cars pass or take the stairs. There was construction right outside of our room (including workers on scaffolding), so we had to keep our curtains drawn which made our room very dark and cave-like.

Pros: The location of the property is great and very walkable. The property itself is old but well kept and the one bedroom suite we had was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff is great, responsive and very helpful. Cons: The suite we got had 2 large windows which faced a wall and plumbing. We had no outside view and couldn’t even tell if it is day or night. A bit of an issue if you are claustrophobic like one of our travel member was. With everything else good, this still made us want to not be in the room much. Overall nice location, great staff and nice rooms minus sunlight/view.

Construction outside my window starting at 8am. Items missing from my room. Dental flosser from previous guest on floor. Impossibly slow elevators. Would definitely just book the Hilton across the street next time. The bar staff was great though.

Perfect stay! 5 stars

Perfect stay! Room was large, especially for NY standards. Bed super comfy, curtains blocked light and room was very quiet. Amenities were awesome and we were able to check in early and store our luggage with no problem at the end. Warwick still has it!

The stay was great, and the staff was professional. The only downside is that the elevators are not spacious and can be quite busy during peak hours. Additionally, my wife's scarf was missing when we returned to the room.
