I had a pleasant stay at the Mercantile Hotel. It's in a fantastic location—just a short walk to the heart of the city, making it easy to explore New Orleans. The rooms are spacious, which is a big plus for families, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch to start the day. However, the hotel is a bit older, and some of the features, like the door, can be a bit finicky (you need to push it to lock). Housekeeping is only done on request or every three days, which could be a downside for those who prefer more frequent cleaning. Additionally, the cleanliness could be improved in some areas. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely return due to the great location and the size of the rooms. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option in a central location, the Mercantile Hotel is a solid choice.

This hotel is great for those who prefer interesting and unique over perfection and uniform. The complimentary breakfast was good, the staff friendly, and the property quiet and conveniently located.

New Orleans is my second home, I attended college there. I've stayed all over the city and this boutique hotel is a gem!! A separate bedroom from a full living room, layout is really cool. Although there is no view, it reminds me of an old Hollywood black and white movie (the brick wall view). The breakfast buffet was a surprise, with eggs and sausage, along with other choices. The bar stayed open until 10pm and I enjoyed my Old Fashioned. I will certainly look to stay here again if I don't need a balcony for my stay. Excellent value!!

To early for this

The check in process was smooth and fast. The room was clean. My only issue was that we entered the breakfast area at 646a. At 651a, Berry (the cook) came out and hold us that we had to leave immediately because breakfast didnt start until 7a. Which I thought was crazy since we had already served ourselves and 7a was just 9mins away at that point.
