This is the best location for a hotel! It's an easy walk to all the most popular areas including bourbon st, canal st, and royal Street but is far enough away from bourbon street that you can actually get some sleep at night. The staff here is fantastic, they make a point to remember guests and make you feel at home. We came to the hotel to celebrate our wedding and when we told the staff that they went out of their way to make it a special stay for us. Ms Yates was especially kind and made us feel like family. We loved this hotel and when we come back to New Orleans this is the only hotel we would look to stay in.

They had to switch my room upon checking in because it wasn’t cleaned at all. The hotel smelled so old and was stuffy. Everything was dated and the guy who parked me attitude was bad and no one was ever outside to valet my vehicle.

We had exhaust/gas/grease smells in the corridors & elevators. Only two of three elevators worked during our stay and they were constantly blocking an area off to work on the elevator with loud banging and grinding sounds. The outdoor construction caused roof insulation to rain down into the pool and OUR DRINKS while we were trying to enjoy the pool. The pool had a layer of the stuff floating on top. So gross and probably unsafe/unhealthy. Our A/C never worked properly, the front desk said it had to be adjusted from a central location but that never seemed to happen and it always read the same temperature. The $15 daily voucher isn't even enough for one cocktail so you end up spending money. And it's one per day per room not per guest which is ridiculous. Also, we had a member of the staff just walk into our room. They apologized and said his list said the room was vacant. Clearly it was not. Really a disappointing stay and then we get charged a daily resort fee. Unbelievable.

Wont be using them on my next stay!!

I was very dissatisfied with the hotel and even more unhappy with the construction going on while we were staying. The size of the room was unacceptable and we had no room to freely move around. I will say the staff was amazing and gave vouchers for each day we stayed. But we received a knock on the door asking when we were going to check out 2 hours before checkout. I have never experienced that before and.it made me and my boyfriend so uncomfortable that we left before checkout and waited 5 hours until our flight. I willnot be staying here on my next trip to New Orleans. Wasnt worth the amount of money we paid for just 3 days amd it was the off season. Highley dissatisfied in that part of my trip.

This hotel is currently undergoing some type of construction, which is not their fault. All businesses have to do work to upkeep especially in an area like New Orleans. However, they are allowing people to book the 2nd floor, regardless, and they don’t tell you in advance there may be some type of issue associated with the noise and the possible contaminants/irritants associated with the work they’re doing on the building. My friend and I both had bad allergy flair ups while they were working, specifically in our bathroom, and it was quite loud all the time they were doing work which was pretty much all day long. There were a few other issues that happened which I brought to the hotel directly. A handiman burst into my bedroom at 7am when I was very much still asleep, due to a plastic curtain pull that had broken the first day we arrived. It was a mistake- perhaps obviously. I’m not trying to flag the whole hotel for it. But after being up all night feeling pretty terrible, being itchy as heck and having a rough time breathing with the irritants surrounding the construction, it wasn’t pleasant. Generally speaking, the people that work here do a wonderful job and I really think August is a hard month for the quarter businesses and they booked us when they maybe should have moved our room or said no, due to needing the bookings in the slow season. I think this is still a luxury hotel, they just had some issues this time.

Hotel is currently under construction and everything is incredibly unorganized as a result. Waited over an hour at check out for our vehicle before we eventually went and retrieved it ourself. Do not recommend.
