Very quaint, lots of character, very convenient to the area. The only issue was being charged to park. I understand parking is scarce around the quarter, but the price for parking was almost as much as the hotel stay.

We had 103 and 122. 122 had working girls in it dealing drugs and soliciting all night long. You could hear the conversations and all the grunting and groaning. 103 was ok. Staff was perfect and darling.

Room not very clean. Housekeeping didn’t service The room during our stay. There was such little water pressure that the shower barely rinsed the soap off. Area is ok and stuff was very friendly. Not a horrible stay but there is definitely room for a lot of improvement.

There were a few hiccups like the front desk walking in on my husband in his underwater and also our bed was full of something coffee ground consistency and when we went to request new bedding the only thing we got was a bottom and top sheet but the mattress and mattress cover was full of it also. Every thing was nice , except the room (210) door hardly shut, and when it did there was still a 1/2” gap at the bottom and side . AC hardly worked ended up going to buy a couple fans just to get some air circulation. Rest of the hotel looked nice other rooms may be nicer but if you get 210 ask for a different room.

A poor Choice and disappointing hotel.com experien

The hotel had rotten wood outside the room and on the door. The exterior was had peeling paint that could be old lead paint on the wall next to the outdoor furniture. The bath tub had large rusted section on the exterior of the tub. The bench at the foot of the bed had a three inch hole in the seat. The window shutters haven’t been cleaned since Andrew Jackson defeated the British. Out side this room is a large storage of construction supplies.

I like the old New Orleans decor. Did not like the poor level of housekeeping that was given. Bed was awful, uncomfortable. Old spring mattress. When housekeeping came to “housekeep” they did not make the bed, did not pick up ALL dirty towels. Infact we came into our first night seeing an old used washcloth still hanging on the shower rod. TERRIBLE!

Location is great! Still in the French Quarter but not where it’s too loud and you can get some peace and quiet. Air conditioner worked a little too well. It was freezing in the room, just a few adjustments and it was all good.

Dilapidation doesnt equal charm

Doors barely stayed closed, had chunks missing from the deadbolt as if it were kicked in. Rats in the ceiling at night and on the porch floors during the day. Tv didn't work, repairman came in and tore all the wires down and then just left and never came back. Bed was disastrously uncomfortable. Clean enough but overpriced for what we got. I understand you can only modernize a 300 year old building so much but it felt more like a relief shelter than a hotel.
