We’ve stayed at the Blake several times. Knowing that it’s Mardi Gras, we had lower expectations with respect to service. However, the staff could not have been nicer. The property itself needs some updates. We were provided with a phone that l was missing buttons and couldn’t be plugged in. We struggled to get towels. However, the front staff was very kind.

Great location.

Comfortable but air blows in face at night. Bed location in bad spot. Toilet issues bu they fixed it quickly. Perfect spot to watch marfi bras parades.

This location is old and outdated. No Hot Water, broken toilet seat, dirty carpet, dirt on the floor, no view, room faced the wall of the building next door windows dirty, no ironing board cover, no parking even though the advertisement stated it was parking, customer service is not great.

You get what you pay for. Cons: Our first assigned room still had trash in it so we were switched rooms. New room had a funky smell. Was disappointed they didn’t have late checkout but they did hold our bags for free which was convenient as our flight was delayed to a later time. A big issue for me was we had the “do not disturb” sign on our door and somebody still came in our room and moved things around. Nothing was missing (as far as I know so far) but I did not like that feeling or appreciate it at all. Pros: they did let us check in early; walking distance to popular destination e.g. bourbon st; they have a text messaging system to communicate with front desk.

Everything was outdated. Room smelled like mold. My husband's asthma was acting up due to the dust and mold. Saw stains on the wall toilet ans shower curtin. The ned was not a queen it was a full and hard. We couldn't sleep any of the nights we were there. Outlet in the bathroom didnt work. We basically took cold showers because the water doesnt even get hot no matter how long i waited

My Stay in New Orleans

My stay at the Blake Hotel was decent. For the most part, I have no complaints. The room was clean throughout the entire week and the beds were comfortable. The shower drain was not working for the first couple of nights which wasn't a huge issue, but slightly annoying. I think the main issue was the central air. I had the thermostat set at 68F on the heat setting which is what I am used to. However, I would be overly hot for the first few hours of sleeping and then be shivering for the last couple hours of sleeping. I am not sure what is the cause of this, but it was something I noticed right away.

Great location to stay in NOLA

The Blake Hotel was the ideal place for our two nights in NOLA - one night before and one after a Caribbean cruise. It is a 15 minute walk to the train station, a 20 minute walk to the cruise port, a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter and the streetcar stop was across the street. The hotel staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were large and clean. The carpets were a bit worn, but still clean. The bed was comfy. There are lots of restaurants and bars near the hotel, but not enough to make it a noisy area. We felt comfortable walking to and from the hotel. We'll stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.
