We loved our one night stay at The Russell. Beautiful neighborhood and we were able to walk to dinner and then our show at Basement East. Complimentary snacks and waters!! Dyson hair dryer! Easy checkin and great communication. Recommend!

Super cool converted church - great East Nashville location. Comfy bed and great hot shower. No checkin desk or staff per se on site but everything super easy and user friendly. Remote check in - key codes emailed for entry. Felt very safe. Very clean. Hope to stay again.

The Russell was beautiful, clean, they had complimentary snacks and water, I appreciated the Dyson hairdryer (fabulous for thick hair). The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here. Nice historic neighborhood, quiet.

Love this place

This was one of my favorite places ever. It’s so comforting and cool. Great place to hang out and relax. Room was awesome. Only thing missing is a patio or deck area. We will definitely be back.

It is really close to downtown Nashville without being IN downtown Nashville, so easy access to the interstate and to downtown. Downtown is not really walking distance, though, so you'll need to drive into downtown Nashville and pay for parking, which is $$$. There really is no staff at The Russell. No concierge, no continental breakfast, etc. Since there are plenty of restaurants nearby, it's not that big of a deal, but just keep that in mind. The bed was pretty comfortable, especially compared to the "boards with a blanket" beds of the normal hotel chains. I stayed in room 1:6, and I found that there isn't enough counter space to put things. They should add a table inside the door or something like that.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Russell! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special. The building itself is beautifully restored with so much character—charming, colorful, and full of unique touches that make it stand out from a typical hotel. The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I appreciated the comfortable bed, modern amenities, and little details like the local artwork and the convenient self check-in process. It all felt seamless and stress-free. The East Nashville location was perfect—close to cool restaurants, coffee shops, and a quick ride to downtown. I honestly didn’t want to leave! I’d highly recommend The Russell to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind stay in Nashville with a purpose. Can’t wait to return!
