We had a great stay, we loved the kayak rentals on the lake right on the hotel. And the hot tub and sauna amenities. The breakfast included was also great for the price we paid. Overall really great

What we liked: - lake view from the room - free amazing breakfast - croissant, waffles, muffin, English muffin, cereal, apple juice, oat milk (!!), almond milk, 2% milk - fruit infused water by the front, as well as coffee and hot water available - very clean fitness room, well air conditioned with kettlebells and weights and cold water - room aircon worked well - seeing rabbits by the bushes - benches and chairs to sit by the lake What we didn’t like: - desk multi outlet didn’t work so we had to use another one for charging - tv remote worked half the time - could hear people walking upstairs - minor misunderstanding about the daily room refresh. We had thought since we were still in room in morning to leave the Do Not Disturb sign on door, but apparently putting it out at all means the room isn’t cleaned entire day (but we did have someone come in and give us new towels and empty garbage - thank you!) This isn’t related to the service but just a tip to be careful about leaving the door open because somehow a moth (?) had come in, and appeared hours later before we went to bed and it was challenging to try get it out as it kept flying on the ceiling. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Property is basic and needs an upgrade in terms of decor . Walls of rooms are very thin and noisy. Coffee mugs were dirty and not changed

Very nice room - we had a suite which looked over the lake. The only weird thing was the bedside lamps had a plug in for iPhones etc. but the slots were too big to hold a plug in.

We chose this property as it is pet friendly for a 3-night stay and wow! yes it is! When pulling up, the outside may look a LITTLE tired, but that's where that ends. It was amazing inside and the facilities at the back were awesome including two spa/sauna areas, fire pit, beaches, docks, plenty of Adirondack chairs etc etc. Our dog obviously wasn't allowed in the breakfast room, but apart from that, she had the run of the place with dog treats and water bowls available in reception. Our room had a door from the car park and a patio door onto the beautiful grounds and grass at the back where we could let her out, have a ball-chase, swim in the lake and do her business (poo bags supplied, be responsible!). She loved it! The room was excellent with very clean everything and lots of amenities (microwave, small fridge/freezer, Keurig coffee machine, storage, etc). The TV had a Chromecast attached so we could watch our Netflix/Prime shows. Breakfast was adequate continental style with plenty of choices to get started for the day. If we go back to Nanaimo, this is our go-to for sure! The staff were all fantastic too, by the way, thanks to all of you from reception to breakfast room to room service to ground staff.

The rooms were old and tired. The carpets were well stained. The outside patio was full of spiders and cobwebs as was the entry area. The breakfast had limited options compared to other similar properties in the price range and in the area. The view of the lake and the cleanliness of the reception arwa was absuty wonderful. The staff did go out of their way to meet our needs and we appreciated their efforts.
