This is my go to place to stay in Nags Head. I would suggest if you want an ocean view room, go with a balcony. There is a sand dune that blocks the ocean front rooms.

This hotel is charming, newly renovated, and the ocean view rooms are fantastic. The private balconies are priceless - and room 17 is probably the best room in the building for views. My only warning would be that the walls are extremely thin and can make for noise throughout the stay. But if you are not bothered by your neighbor's noise, then this place is perfect. Parking is a little bit tight, but mostly manageable. Again, you cannot beat the views, the beach access, and Shawn was a fantastic host!
