I love a Hilton Garden Inn - but make sure they are finished with the renovation before staying here. They say the rooms are completed - but that is not true. The front desk staff has not been trained properly - all they want to do is blame Expedia, and when the fire alarm went off because "construction worker was smoking in the stairwell" (or so we were told, the fire department never showed up - even though everyone had evacuated. Front desk said "we do not know why the fire department did not show up." MANAGEMENT - do a better job please training your staff and consider closing for a week to finish and stop prioritizing quantity over quality.

Horrible experience

Horrible, pool wasnt working. I called to see if the pool was open and was told it was. They were doing some renovations but when I called the day before I was told it was only the front lobby and wasnt going to interfere with our stay. Only to check in and rooms were still being worked on, pool didnt work, restaurant wasnt open for dining only in room. If i had known all of this when i called i would have canceled and booked another hotel. Very disappointing!!

We enjoyed our stay with one or two hiccups. The hotel was being renovated, and we were not aware of it. The rooms were beautiful, but we had no soap or toiletries in our room. None in the shower either. There were no cups to use to take pills or rinse your mouth after brushing. The food in the restaurant was very good, and service excellent. Coffee was hot ad fresh. The bar was small but very nice, and the outside fire pit was really nice in the evening. Would recommend, great location too.

This hotel is currently going through a major renovation throughout the building. As the renovation is clearly improving the hotel, I personally had no issue with it. But many people have issues with renovations during their stay. I honored my original reservation because the hotel immediately sent me e-mail informing me about the renovation during my stay.

location to Mohegan Sun is great. stayed here because online mentioned a shuttle. Sadly no shuttle...uber/lyft appox $30 each way..! Whole 1st floor under construction..so not really relaxing..especially if planning on using the pool.

I paid for a suite with pull out couch and got a basic room with two queens… not enough space for family. The restaurant was so dusty from construction that my son’s pants were covered in dust and he’s been coughing and sneezing ever since. Luckily I had friends at a closer hotel so we got to hang there and my son slept there to be comfortable. Poor poor choice and all false on hotel.com. Was informed they do not even have suites.

We had to be moved two times. This a newly renovated property, has not been checked for problems. First room the door would not lock, second room the toilet toggle was off, so I could not flush the toilet. Third room, the walls are so thin I could hear the person in the next room snoring all night. This is worst experience I have ever had at Hilton property.

The hotel will be beautiful after all the construction. The room was stunning, except the door handle was tough to open. There was alot of noise in the hallways we were woken up both nights.

I did get an email after I booked that stated there was construction going on. However, it also should have stated there was no pool. And no spa which was advertised. It's actually written on the wall to the pool.
