Fee for parking

The man that checked us in did not give us any information and needs customer service training. I was surprised there was a $20 fee for parking. It did not list that up front.

Motel+

Check-in took over an hour, the hotel staff said to check the hotel next door for available rooms “staff didn’t know when it would be ready”. A/C in room was stuck on 68 and blowing warm air into the room, resulting in a very unpleasant sleep. Overall just a step up from a motel.

The room was not sound proof, you can hear others outside the room. Especially, a loud noise can be heard when others shut the doors. A person followed me to the parking lot and asked me for money.

My friend and I checked in on the evening of 7/18/2025. The gentleman at the desk did not acknowledge us and just kept looking down at his phone. I could barely make out what he even asked me to do. He wasn't rude, but he also wasn't very congenial. I had to ask twice to get an extra key for the room. We did not feel very welcomed.

The hotel is rundown and an annex of the larger Ambassador Hotel across the street. That being said, the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet -- which was our biggest priority. The staff was efficient and polite. The breakfast included hot items like scrambled eggs, waffles, and sausage. The hotel is located on the edge of the downtown area. We were asked by several people on the street for money right ouside the hotel.
