Loved it once. But not again

We loved our stay here years ago. So we went again. The rooms need major deep cleaning. All wall plugs wouldn’t hold any of our plugs, made it hard to charge our phones. Stand up shower is hazardous for the way it’s built. Sheets felt like rocks. Pillows omg! There were soooo bad! 3 pillows and it was still flat.

We love The Girasole Apartments and our suite! Our sons and my husband fell in love with the ocean view and cozy room. We decided to extend our stay for four more days. The building, the ocean view from our suite and stuff are amazing. We recommend this suite for all who visit with family and enjoy Miami’s Sun and Beach! We are taking beautiful memories with us back to Texas. No beaches are compatible to Miami’s white sand and blue Lagoon waters! We love you The Girasole Apartments!

Run!!! Dirty!

Arrived to find “body” hair in the shower, and globs of conditioner on the wall of the shower/tub, bathroom needs to be redone, shower head leaks at top and there is caulking everywhere and the tub is old and has chips. Floor felt like it had not been swept in forever, cabinets had water damage in kitchen and didn’t close properly, the floor looked nice, bed close to closet was comfortable but creaked every time you moved. Tv also turned green. I was finally able to reach someone, with great difficulty I might add and they did remove the hair but the reality is it should never have happened in the first place.

Checking in was very confusing and the valet had no idea about getting bags from car to room. Only said the front desk could help which was a flight of stairs up. After carrying bags to upsteps to the Main Lobby we found a luggage cart but were required to leave our Government ID until we returned the cart. We were rushed off and left things in the car. No ice? Wanted us to pay 3.50 for 7 pound of ice and would not take a credit card for less than $10.00 No ice bucket. Few of the staff could speak English that I could follow. Pool was not in operation during our two day stay. The room was old, extremely small and not well maintained. Most outlets were so old the phone chargers would not even stay in the plug.

The pool, views, and beach access were great! The staff was pretty rude, there weren’t many restaurants within walking distance, and it’s not very touristy (no shopping, ice cream, etc…). The room was outdated and needed some maintenance, but for the price, it was still a great stay.

Best thing about property is location to beach and Intercostal, 2 things that are really not great, 1) WiFi is bad , we were on 14th floor and it will drive u buggy! Doesn't come in steady in room or beach, 2) valet parking is a chore, so much so you wont want to use your rental car, especially around check out or check in times, hour wait for car!! I stayed at this hotel in 2015 and it was pretty good, this time 4/8/25 through 4/16/25 will def be my last time here. If you dont rent a car n need valet it would be ok but, have lots of data, my trac fone galaxy 21 ultra using verizon towers was awful. So thats up to you, lastly be sure to have ESP on anything related to hotel because there are no directions on anything and all is spanish , i had more people speak english in Mexico then this place. Peace out!

The location was perfect. Beach was beautiful and the options to dine inside or at the pool were nice as well. The convenient store options were a plus but overpriced to be expected. A free trolley was exceptionally nice to take to Publix and CVS. Please check with your host to make sure your room has daily essentials and needed necessities during your stay as our unit didn’t provide anything. I would stay again but with a different host or knowing that they don’t provide amenities I would do a Walmart order for towels, washcloths. Kitchen towel, paper towels, toilet paper, etc overall okay. Rooms definitely need a deep professional cleaning.

Ceiling leaked water all night all over our stuff. Went to front desk and was told nothing they can do about it. Asked for more towels to at least clean up the water and was told no more towels. WIFI was nonexistent in our room as well as no service. Had to walk down the hall to get service. Overall the place smelt musty and like cigarettes.

You can’t use pool toys or pool balls in the pool. You can’t drink or have a drink near the pool. Security woke me up at 12:06am to return a gym pass, when they had my ID at the front desk, and couldn’t wait till the following day. Not the best experience.

Upon check-in, we learned that our room number had changed. The people at the check-in counter couldn't help me. I had to send an email to the property manager and wait for a response. Once we got to our room, it had a sour smell. I discovered that garbage had been left behind which consisted of a package of raw chicken. I took it upon myself to remove the trash and purchase air freshener to make the room smell better. The rave about the propertt would go to the parking/valet staff. They are amazing!

Our studio was lovely- I loved waking up to the ocean every morning! I was disappointed we couldn’t access new towels and were instead told to use the laundry room. Bit noisy at night and difficult to use the elevators.
