Being mentally prepared for the size of the room, we were still surprised at how compact it is. Hotels we stayed at in Ginza, Tokyo were bigger than this. We didn't mind though. It's very cute, modern, and has everything. There's a gym. There's a roof top bar. Everything is controlled via iPad or mobile app on the phone - such as controlling temperature, fan speed, mood light, curtains, TV, etc. Only thing is we thought the climate control weren't that responsive. We spent most of the day touring anyway, so the size was none issue. Plus the bed was very comfy, big, and the room had excellent soundproofing - being how compact it is we didn't hear any neighbors, and slept soundly each night we were there. Another issue is parking - go with SpotHero, there's one garage right by where Saltbae's restaurant is, and another a bit further that allows in-and-out access, but a bit more expensive. I would consider CitizenM chain of hotels as an option next time I travel.

While our room was extremely comfortable and clean…it was the parking fiasco that is leading to not getting an excellent review from me. Our experience with parking our car was horrible. We were given a parking garage address that our GPS clocked 40 minutes away (because we were given the wrong NW vs SW address), then my partner had to keep circling the block while I tried to get the correct directions. And even with the run around, we were still charged $35 for the parking. Our stay was supposed to be a comfortable one night resting period, after a week long cruise, before traveling home and it turned into more hassle. I expected more from this highly recommended hotel.

Overall, the hotel had a super vibey, modern feel — definitely designed with a young, cool energy in mind. The rooms are small and minimalist, kind of Japanese capsule-style, which works fine for a couple of days or if you’re solo. My TV didn’t work during the stay, but honestly, the atmosphere and safety of the hotel made up for it. If you’re looking for a fun, trendy spot in Miami for a short stay, I’d recommend it.

This hotel was different than the traditional Hotels I am used to and I must say it was the best decision I made to try something new!!! The staff has excellent customer service and the hotel room is very modern and cozy!! The size is just perfect for solo travel. I will be booking the CitizenM hotel anywhere I travel to in future!! 10/10 ! :)
