Bullied at this hostel

First of all, this was my first solo trip alone in a country where I did not know anyone. I had made a friend in the lobby who offered to have a smoke with me, and for some reason that triggered all of his friends to start bullying me and I do not know why. They were saying things to me in the elevator saying "ew" and then screaming at me when they got out and everyone on the floor was giving me looks by the end of the day. I have absolutely no idea what I did wrong as I thought I was making a friend and I ended up just getting bullied somewhere where I was already alone. I then got the stomach flu and was continued to be treated like that but had absolutely no energy so I left and booked a hotel. Couldn't tell you how awful it felt and entire hostel is one big clique because people stay there for long periods of time. Worst hostel experience I've had.

Brilliant place to stay ! Perfect location - close to everything and so assessable to everything you may need ! Flinders Street station directly across the road, Young and Jackson hotel to have a meal, beverage or relax in roof top bar just a short walk from the door. Chemist, tobacconist, 7 Elevan, cafes, takeaways all on the same street and major supermarkets around the corner. St Pauls Cathedral around the corner ,Federation Square a short walk. Easy to catch a tram around the corner, hail a cab or Didi right outside your door. Downstairs is a cool little bar with pool table to enjoy a beverage and play a round of pool. Nice and quiet place to stay, really lovely and welcoming staff atreception

The staff were lovely and cheerful every time we came to and from, the room didn’t come with a bathroom and was quite small but overall it was a nice experience close to the city and many activities

Great staff, comfy bed, clean bathrooms, great location, I always pack ear plugs in dorms they can’t be perfectly quiet. Bring a small lock (or you can purchase down stairs for $8) if you want to use there locked cupboards in the bedrooms
