The tap in the shower was not working. Staff notified Saturday nothing was done. After it dripped all night it wouldn't turn on enough to shower on Sunday. On Sunday no property manager until 9.30. Finally able to move rooms. No apologies didnt really seem to care.
from a damaged coffee table , damaged wall and chipped plate , our first impressions were not good .
Later discovering A/C was not working , with thermostat display showing "fault ", though
(we could thankfully open windows to let cool breeze in ) , then discovering a sizeable puddle growing in a corner of the bathroom that we assumed was from a leaking toilet , it appears that quality control was not high on a list of priorities.
This was a pity because the location of hotel was fantastic, close to the theatre we were visiting as well as withing walking distance to many other visitor destinations.
I was incredibly disappointed with this accommodation. We were there early December and the A/C wasn't cooling the room down at all. They had 1x oscillating fan for 2 bedrooms, so the kids had to sleep in the hotter room, with no form of cooling the room down.
The balcony was ontl top of the foyer to reception and people had thrown cigarette butts and rubish on top of it, so it felt incredible dirty.
The king bed had very uncomfortable springs that popped up asnyou rolled over.
The fridge was broken, so our drinks and milk disnt stay cold at all.
I reported the A/C & Fridge issues to reception.
Second time I have visited. Is decent for the price, and close to city buses, trains and trams.

The staff were friendly. It’s located in quiet side of town and close to restaurants and public transport. The room was dark and property is quite old. Overpriced on weekends.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel, considering it was in the lower price range for Carlton. Would recommend.
Location was the main feature of the property close to both theatres and parliament station. Parking is right next door I think it was value for money.
