Great location and stay.

Great location in CBD. Was very surprised and happy to be upgraded. Room was large and clean and bed very comfortable so I slept all night which is rare for me in a hotel. Breakfast was great value with a wide variety to choose from - fresh and replenished regularly. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for theatre district

Great location for the theatre district, comfortable room, great rain head shower. Only disappointment was on check in I opted in for the prepaid buffet breakfast, however in the morning had to get home earlier than expected so asked for that to be cancelled, only to be told it was non refundable. I could understand for a group or larger booking that would be the case as kitchen would have to have prepared and catered for that many people, but for just one person, I was disappointed. In hindsight, it would’ve been nice to have been offered to take some food with me or at least a coffee.

Paper thin walls - some kids were having a party across the hallway and down two doors and I could hear every squeal and giggle. Went from just after midnight until well after 1:15am Noise from the street as well. Nowhere near as “grand” as the Hobart Grand Chancellor

Great location but windows need upgrading

Friendly staff, great location and a good sized room for a couple to use while exploring Melbourne. The only downside was the windows in the room we stayed in on the 10th floor were old and rattled in the wind and rain. They also did very little to block out the street noise below (late night party crowd and cars honking horns and revving engines) and as a light sleeper that made it tough to get a good sleep.

Very much enjoyed my time here. There are some refurb works happening which did not cause me any issues. I didn’t make use of the room service but they have breakfast delivery which is amazing. Staff were great. Would have extended if I had the money.

Staff are very polite. Rooms are slightly dated but they have done a great job keeping them tidy. I would definitely continue staying at this property. The only downside is you have to lift your luggage up stairs to get in.

No often do I say ‘just do it’

Ist time to visit this hotel after spending 5 nights at their equivalent hotel in Adelaide South Australia (excellent). This hotel is just as good. Great location to visit the northern part of the Melbourne CBD on the doorstep. Including the Theatre district, ChinaTown, Lygon street, Central and Victoria Market. Booked Queen deluxe and upgraded without asking. Modern renovations and excellent room facilities and bedding. Great breakfast ( buffet) staff friendly and efficient. Overall excellent experience. Experienced travellers.

This is definitely one of the better, reasonably priced hotels in the theatre district. Close to the main shopping areas and great dining options with China Town nearby. Buffet breakfast better than most with great variety and freshness. The staff are so friendly and courteous
