This property was a nice, centrally-located spot for exploring Carmel-by-the-Sea. There were a couple of cosmetic blemishes in our room (a small hole at the bottom of the outside panel of the door, and a crack in the porcelain of the bathroom sink). There was also no air-conditioning, though while we were there, it was not needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Several issues. Room wasn’t ready by check in time. Took about an additional hour, but no communication from the hotel staff. First night we were plagued by an infestation of small flies. Complained at the front desk next morning and they did send somebody from maintenance staff over. He came in an immediately identified the problem and where it was coming from, because apparently an ongoing issue.
