"Ideal place to stay in SFO/Bay area"
Ideally situated in Tiburon, just a 30 minute ferry ride from the city (Pier 21 or Embarcadero depending on time of day). We enjoyed the Thursday afternoon farmers market with a variety of fresh local produce and the boutique shops and restaurants within walking distance. Make sure you visit the Spice Store and Wine shop in Main Street. Caffee Acri serves a great coffee and the Woodlands Market has a good range of pastries, cheese and wines for that quiet night in or picnic. The Tavern at the hotel serves a good variety of wines & beers and offers a small but adequate menu. Make sure that you get seated by the maƮtre d' as we found we were rather ignored otherwise. Tavern also closes pretty early with last call around 10pm. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helped us plas a successful trip to the Sonoma wine region

"Weekend getaway "
Decent hotel. A little pricey considering Corte Madera standards, it comes with the territory. Room setup is not well planned. The bathroom is tiny and with a big pedestal sink next to the toilet, it is very awkward. The vanity is separate and is way too low. Good height for a child but not for adults.

"Great place to stay."
It is not the Four Seasons but it is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the property is well kept and the free breakfast is good. for the price we paid I will stay here every time we visit San Francisco. It is only about 15 minutes from the Golden Gate bridge and has easy access to the freeway.

"Just okay"
Our room was on the 3rd floor. When we got off the elevator, there was an incredibly unpleasant, urine odor outside the 1st room. That made me feel uncomfortable for the rest of our over night stay and made me feel like our room was only superficially clean. Bath towels are too small and there just wasn't a fresh, airy smell to our room. My main disappointment in the morning was the coffee--too weak. Coffee, bought in bulk, is not expensive. This is an easy upgrade that would be appreciated should we stay there again. Thank you for the opportunity to share our experience.

"Improvements, staff make a difference"
We were very satisfied with our stay! This is a very underated hotel, possibly because the ownership has been making a lot of recent improvements. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, not to mention clean. The staff is absolutely wonderful (and French!). Also, the "continental" breakfast, is more than that and a great add in value. We'd stay there any time we are in San Rafael!

"Great motel for a short stay"
Overall a positive experience. I would stay here again if I was in the area for a short stay and I would recommend it others. The less notable parts of the experience included the free breakfast (cereal and coffee) and the bed (not as comfortable as home). I found it to be quiet at night and was able to get a good night's sleep. The location worked well for my plans to visit places in Mill Valley, San Francisco, and Berkeley. Good WiFi access and free parking.

Marin County is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Marin County, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Marin County hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
