"Nice, refurbished, older motel"
This is a very nice refurbished motel. It was originally built in the late 1940s, but the rooms have been entirely updated with wooden floors, redone baths, etc. It has a nice grassy area near the pool and between the buildings where your pets can run. It is pet friendly and has pet walking areas. While smoke free, it has a smoking pavilion outside. The rooms were spotless and the beds were comfortable. The free continental breakfast is fine. We did not eat dinner in Rickey's, the attached restaurant, but you can check it out on Yelp or Trip Advisor. My only complaint was the staff could not tell me how to get there when I got lost coming from the South out of San Francisco. I expect they will take care of this as I informed the manager of this fact when I left and she said she would take care of it. My wife and I and our two sons were there for a wedding in Marin County and all enjoyed our stay. It is expensive, but not as expensive as most other places in Marin County, which is one of the more expensive counties in the country. We would stay there again.

"Good "base camp" location "
Check in was easy. Room was okay, nothing fancy. You have to pay an additional charge if you want daily housekeeping. They do it once a week. There are no ice machines available, you're supposed to make your own. Breakfast is a grab and Ho muffin, granola bar, and coffee. Not exactly fortifying. Killed a cockroach under the bathroom sink.

"Cute hotel "
I thought the staff was wonderful and it was a cute little place. That being said, the pillow in my room had a couple of drops of blood on it which was off-putting. The room was spacious and they upgraded us to a king bed last minute which was nice of them.

I stayed here for two days for work training the price is very reasonable for the area, the motel is located about two minutes from the 101 freeway and about 5 from local restaurants and stores. The room was clean but there was definitely chipped paint and holes on the walls. The bathroom does not have a bathtub it is just a shower very small the sink is house style sink area. The motel is very outdated could use some upgrading. One thing that really bothered me is was the pillows they only had two on the bed and they got were very flat. The bed is simple no extra bedding thin sheets and comforter. They have simple cable with minimum channel selections. The continental breakfast was standard cereal, bagels, juice, coffee and they also have a waffle maker. This motel is located in a residential area which is very quiet. Construction is happening on the road across the street but it only happens during the day. The staff was friendly when I checked in and very fast which I appreciated being exhausted. The check in is all day which was helpful for me since I arrived around 11pm.

Marin County is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Marin County, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Marin County hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
