"Served it's purpose"
Last minute booking for a short visit to Venice. We chose this hotel because of the proximity to both, Marco Polo airport and the city of Venice. It was a little harder to find than expected (following the google maps directions). Check in was quick and easy even though it was tough communicating with the receptionist (with my very limited Italian and his even more limited English). That being said we had to rely on finding somebody else to ask for directions to the train station so that we can go to see Venice. As the hotel is locked during the night (I guess standard procedure offseason) and we had an early flight, we checked out through fire escape so that we don't have to wake up receptionist (also staying in the hotel) to unlock the main entrance. Room was a bit smaller than expected but clean.

"close to airport but need sat nav to find easily."
lovely setting. all breakfast made on site - fresh mozzarella, ricotta, quails eggs. restrained modern architecture with the flavouring of the modernist venetian master Carlo Scarpa. Saw 6 hares, white egret, heard owls saw bats but not aeroplanes. easy to get to venice via ferry at airport. use €8 a day car park there - fantastic way to crass the lagoon. Pool wonderful, also has spa pool and lecture/meeting facilities

"Comfortable, convenient countryside inn"
This is a modern, friendly, peaceful farmhouse B&B not far by car from the Marco Polo airport and city of Venice (~15 min). On our three-night stay, we much enjoyed spending one day exploring nearby Traviso (Urban Italian ambience but without the swarms of tourists) and the Prosecco region further north (following helpful guidance from our hostess, Tania). Tania lives in a separate part of the house with her parents, husband, and child, who are delightful to see playing and working outside and to meet for brief greetings inside, but otherwise are not noticeable. Easy to communicate with Tania in English (and Dutch) if you don't speak Italian. Our second-floor room was clean and comfortable with adequate storage space, comfortable king-size bed, and a modern, well functioning shower, toilet, and bidet. Amenities were a bit spare (no soap dish in the shower, no waste basket in the bedroom, small TV monitor, no Kleenex box) but only a minor inconvenience, easily outweighed by all the positives and the reasonable price.

"Converted farm mill"
This is a small 1 bedroom on a farm. It is a converted farm mill. It was satisfactory for our needs for a few days but I would have liked more comfortable beds. The bed situation was terrible. Paper thin mattresses with no support. Loved the quiet surroundings and view. The address was difficult to find and I recommended to the owner that he make the address more visible.

Marcon is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Marcon, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Marcon hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
