Adaquate, yet not soundproof and more

The check in prosess was easy and quick. I got to the room the bathroom was great and worked wonderfully. The front door wasn't shaped right and while it did bolt and locked there was a slit down it so that all the noise from outside came in. It is not soundproof even without that. The TV next door was either blaring or it is not soundproof as the site suggests. The slit in the door didn't help (especially when a loud truck left or stopped by early in the morning). Then the bed creeked when I got in it and kept creeking. It wasn't great. Slept okay on the other side. I had to do that not just for the creek but the air conditioner was blowing right at me otherwise. I tried turning it down even off, but it got too hot. Adaquate for my needs, but a lot of little things not great.

One small roach in kitchen but other than that a clean room. Very loud parking lot in the early AM - probably a popular hotel for blue collar workers in the area. Asked manager who was there in the AM about some basic questions and was dismissed and told to contact manager of property for more info. (front desk is mostly remote attendant on a little screen). Not far drive to nags head beach and walking distance to downtown Manteo. Pet friendly was a huge plus but the listing showed a pool which there is none (it’s because the other chains have a pool so this location may show pool online…).
