Really nice and kind staff, but the room left a lot to be desired. The shower was extremely slippery. I hardly stepped foot in there and immediately had to grab onto some solid structure to stop falling over. The shower was also really unclean and grimy. And the gap between the floor and door meant I could hear other guests clearly throughout the night, not the most pleasant of experiences for the premium price I had paid for the night.

The room was small, shower was tiny, i couldn't move to wash myself..the room was small with very limited space for clothes, toiletries etc. I wouldnot stay here again . We were booked in for 3 nights, we considered leaving after 1 night, but transport hone was expensive, so we left after 2 nights .

This property does not profess to be anything other than it is. It’s in a very convenient location for the village, few minutes walk into the city shopping area or Piccadilly station. Rooms have a 10 minute money back guarantee so you can look around and make your own decision whether to stop or not; that’s a first in my experience so further demonstrates transparency.

Family weekend stay

Despite location in heart of Canal Street nightlife culture, our room was remarkably quiet over both a Friday and Saturday nights. Excellent location, only 10 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and 10-15 minutes from city centre highlights.

Noisy Outside the Hotel.

Our room was not that clean. Dusty chairs.. It looks like it was unoccupied for a while. Kind of noisy at night. It is next to bars, restaurants. Heard noises at night, people talking from the places next to the hotel. A lot of fun around, but it is too close where if you want to rest this is not the place. Unless you want to have fun and party all night.

Great value for money with all you need for a couple of nights stay in a really convenient location. Absolutely loved staying on Canal street- a busy and vibrant street in the evening. Deluxe double room at the front was basic but comfortable. If you are wanting luxury though go stay at at the Hilton! Only negatives were shower was so claustrophobic and door was broken and pillows were flat as pancakes. A fan was provided in the room which was great on the really days we stayed but omg- it needed defluffing!

Decent place, not the best hotel ever but it was good. It was mostly clean and tidy, there was some bits in the room that were dusty but you had to look to see them. A thoroughly decent place right in the middle of town and despite being surrounded by pubs and clubs, there wasnt a lot of noise. All in all, a simple hotel and the price was fantastic value for the city centre. Would go there again.

Infection alert! Avoid if you value your health

First time stay last night. Having worked in Manchester city centre for over 9 years, I expected at some point that I may stay in this hotel, as it is close to my workplace. I usually check in just after 8pm and check out prior to 8am Last night I checked in, went to my room hoping to relax after my 12 hour shift. I lay on top of bed watching tv, popped out and bought a sandwich and ate that in my room.  Around 23.45, I attempted to go to bed, and pulled the duvet cover back to find very obvious bodily fluids staining the bottom sheet. I am unsure if it was dried liquid mucus / faecal matter or dried diluted blood, but I nearly threw up. It was 1/3 of the way up bed, so could have been extruded from either orifice. The underside of the duvet also had pink make up smeared on it.  I took the attached photographs  I went to complain at reception, and was told there were no other rooms to move to, but clean sheets could be provided.  So, at almost midnight, instead of relaxing in my hotel room, I was literally gagging, changing sheets on a filthy bed, soiled with bodily fluids. I contacted Hotels.com, who told me the Vile hotel will be in touch. After 6 hours, i telephoned the hotel, and no manager is available. Apparently, they have one member of staff on ALL DAY. NO MANAGEMENT AVAILABLE! A night I will not forget in a hurry
