the street we accessed the Hotel had contractors working with barely space to walk. The hotel is hemmed in on all sides by tall overlooking blocks. Our room heard the waste bins being wheel out during night out. Spacious bedroom, but still no chair or desk to sit on or work from - apart from the kingbed with best ever leather headrest arrangement. Standard room and the bathroom is a tight squeeze.
All very upmarket, modern, contemporary, let down by pseudo americanisms.
All access controlled by card, even the lift. Not forewarned, second card should be standard not optional extra.
One of the least satisfactory breakfast for a long time. Wonky tables designed to spill any drink. Pastiche of an english breakfast. Sausage, bacon, lukewarm solid scrambled egg and bbeans with mini-what? potatoes and tha's it.
Positives, great to have 4 milk choices, excellent, Full milk on of for once and a non-dairy. Bread just above standard soggy but the rolls and artisan loaf to cut to thickness you want as great. But you are on your own, even clearing your wonky table.
