"On the slopes! ski in ski out; loved this. "
Kind of small rooms but very tidy and well maintained; comfortable room temperature; excellent noise proofing. A few steps from elevator to underground parking. Large parking space. A short walk to Jacuzzi. Not the most comfortable mattresses

"Charming Remote Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Lodge. The cabins were extremely cozy and comfortable, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. For those without a car and on a budget, we would advise you plan your meals in advance, as the hotel meals are extremely expensive and taxi's each way into town are $40 roundtrip. Pizza stores also do not deliver. However, if you bring groceries, everything works well.

"Nice hotel. Short drive to ski resort."
This is a great hotel for the skier/snowboarder. There are very few hotels at Mammoth that provide ski-in / ski-out service. The few that I have stayed at are expensive and are not as nice as the Best Western. If you have a vehicle or don't mind riding the bus, I'd highly suggest staying here. I've stayed here many times, and I find the Best Western much nicer and more reasonably priced than the competition.

Mountainback at Mammoth

435 lakeview Blvd, Mammoth Lakes - Map
"Great location in Mammoth"
We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with our accommodations at the Mountainback Mammoth. We stayed in unit 53 in Bldg. 5. It was very spacious and could easily accommodate 2 families with 2 full bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and a loft with a queen bed and bunk beds and another full bath. We will definitely request the same unit again when we go back to Mammoth. Note: It would be a bit of a walk in your ski boots to the lift at Canyon lodge but people are obviously doing it because the parking overflow from the lodge runs all the way down the street and almost reaches the complex. Also, I believe there is a shuttle but I did not happen to see one. If you have someone in your group to drop you off in the morning and pick you up at the end of your ski day, this place is ideal.

"Basic accommodations in this 1-bd Mammoth condo"
Outdated, but doable one bedroom condo. We had two adults and two children. Plenty of room as there are bunk beds built in and a large sectional with sleeper sofa. Sofa was comfortable and good seating. If I were the owners, I'd take out a lot of the outdated decorations, like very old artificial flowers and trinkets. Less is best so to speak...especially when nothing is updated but TVs. Enjoyed the ping pong/pool table and hot tub in the condo complex. PAC Man video game not working.

Mammoth Lakes is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mammoth Lakes, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mammoth Lakes hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
