"Nice little hotel"
This hotel was very surprising! Super friendly check in, they offer breakfast in the morning, the have a small spa with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. This is most needed after being on the mountain all day. They also have a small gym (my husband enjoyed that). The hotel is also walking distance from a bowling alley, restaurants, movie theater and stores. It's a cute little gem! We would totally stay again 😊

The fireplace suite was really nice! The bathroom had heated floors and had a rain shower head in the shower. The grocery store was right down the road which was super convenient.

"Always a good time in Mammoth"
Had a good time, but 7 feet of snow the week before we got there and the 3-4 feet while we were there made it difficult. All lodges were closed when we arrived due to high winds. Next day, high winds closed Main and Canyon, Eagle had 1 run open. Day after, 2 runs were open at Main, three runs were open at Canyon and 1 at Eagle. Was good enough for me to enjoy the powder. Staff made the hotel comfortable. The fact that the buses ran through the whole snowstorm made things bearable. Mammoth gave me rain checks for lift tickets I had pre-purchased and was unable to use. Obviously we'll be back to use them.

"Hotel was nice, but service needed to step it up."
We experienced a very long wait to check-in well past the 4PM check-in time (nearly an hour later), which caused us to head into town to kill time. The room as average to slightly above average in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The hot tub was under heated, which made it tough to venture out to it in the snow that was coming down at the time. There were never enough towels provided for the number of guests we registered, and the cleaning crew was not very friendly or helpful when additional towels were requested. There was trash piled up at nearly all of the exits and it was not picked up until the next day. That was not attractive for the hotel.

"Great location and helpful staff"
This was a very good place to stay, and if I return to Mammoth I will stay there again. Location is perfect, across from The Village and near the gondola that takes you to the Canyon base lodge. You can also take a bus to the main lodge if you prefer, but the gondola is so easy I don't know why anyone would. There are a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and several more, as well as plenty of shopping, right across the street in The Village. The breakfast is very good and the free cookies in the lobby in the afternoon are a nice touch. Only downsides would be the bedding is a little funky (very heavy comforter, and sheets not tucked in at the bottom). Overall a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were informative and helpful, and the plow guys worked hard to keep the parking lot clear through the 2 and a half feet of snow that fell during the 5 nights/days we were there. Of course all that snow meant the skiing was great!

"Charming Remote Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Lodge. The cabins were extremely cozy and comfortable, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. For those without a car and on a budget, we would advise you plan your meals in advance, as the hotel meals are extremely expensive and taxi's each way into town are $40 roundtrip. Pizza stores also do not deliver. However, if you bring groceries, everything works well.

"Nice hotel close to the lift."
The hotel is located right next to the lift which makes it very convenient. You can rent your gear at the hotel as well. And they offer ski lockers to store them. The hotel rooms are very spacious. After a few plumbing problems the hotel staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room. We enjoyed the shuttle that stops right outside to take you in to town. I would recommended this hotel

Mammoth Lakes is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mammoth Lakes, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mammoth Lakes hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
