Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Stayed for 3 nights (Mon-Thurs). The hotel is conveniently located and minutes from everything in Mammoth. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open during those days of the week. The have a nice lobby bar area but only serves wine by reservation. Overall a decent place but the experience could have been better.

I booked a king size bed room and only to find out that they don’t have the room I booked available. The front desk manager Mario didn’t analogize to me but blamed to Expedia… They wanted to put me in a two queen size beds room but I told them I preferred a King size bed which is what I booked for. The answer I got is I have to pay extra to be upgraded to a room with King size bed… It all sounds weird and not what I expected. I told them my booking gives me VIP access, what that mean. Guess what, the attitude of the manager changed suddenly… I was able to get a big room with a king size bed without paying extra…

Not all rooms are created equal. We had 3 rooms, two of which were very quiet, but the other was next to some sort of equipment room (225) and was very noisy. Some mechanical issues. The toilet in one room did not work and the shower would not drain properly in another. The coffee service in the morning is very spotty and it's hard to understand why there is not an abundant amount. It's just coffee and not hard to make and keep the kettle full.

Great location and the grounds are nice. The Friday and Saturday staff was nice but not the person on Thursday. Coffee in the lobby. Access to filtered water in the lobby. Parking was easy and ample but we were there a bit off season. However here are some not so good observations. -hot tub not working -two outlets in the room -one small trash can in entire room -room smelled moldy and is stuffy -the air conditioning was extremely loud -no phones to call the front desk in chalet room -chalet room looked super old and the cabinets didn’t event open because they were broken We booked a chalet room but the toilet was broken and we had to move to a room in the main building as nothing else was available. I asked to be moved to a room on the grounds instead of the main building since my first room with broken toilet was of that standard but was quoted $250 per night. The chalet room looks nothing like the photos and is very old and dark by the way. Overall an average resort and better than sleeping in a tent (for me)

We had a lovely stay at the Outbound Mammoth nice room clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff nice Bar and restaurant and we got a kick out of the Crepes food truck outside in the property , where all was delicious. Just few littles annoying things : the internet very slow the TV in the room didn’t work at all if you would like to use the App Netflix etc. we used our hot spots Also the entrances doors to the upper level were sometimes propped open and when we got there our keys card were not working.
