Nice but just not nice enough

Overall hotel was very nice and terrific location. They did not offer wash cloths or a box of tissues in the room. There was no replacement of the water bottles in the room. For a highly rated hotel they just missed the mark for service. Also our room had a funky smell. It appeared that the air in the room was scented, possibly to cover up the funky odor.

The check-in staff made me feel uncomfortable. They didn’t smile and kept looking at each other while I was talking. Maybe it’s just the cultural difference.

Great location, easy walking to everything in Madrid. The rooms were very nice but don’t have much privacy for the bathroom area. Traveling as a couple would we be ok, but hard for a family.

Modern and very clean. Central and can walk everywhere within few minutes. Near many shops, markets and monuments. Breakfast was ok but not huge selection. Can improve refill frequency, a few things on the buffet ran out and had to wait long to get refilled. Restaurant and bar is classy and has good musoc and ambience. Very friendly staff.

Staff were very kind. Bathroom shower kept leaking and shower head//wall looked like it needed some work. Other than that, room was very.clean . Staff were great! They welcomed us with a bottle of red wine, which was great!

I like to coziness of this hotel. Even though I didn’t get upgrade for VIP member but I paid for my upgrade so I can check in early. I like my room as it is small but yet cozy, clean, and we have the balcony for the view of the plaza. Although there were rain day and night during our stay but I feel good coming back to the hotel nightly and have a good sleep. I like the decor of the hotel too.. smart, clean, bright, and eco-friendly
