Skyland was great! The beds were comfortable, the shower was really nice, and we were even able to watch some NBA playoff games after hiking all day. The restaurant on property was lovely, and had delicious options for various diets. There were some beautiful trails right on the property where we were able to enjoy the sunset. The only drawback was that we didn’t have Wi-Fi until our second to last day there. That may have been because we were there shortly after it opened for the season. I would recommend it highly!
Friendly staff and great dining experiences both at Skyland and Big meadows. Super stunning views of the big rocks on too of the stonyman trail and cool waterfalls of Darkhollow falls even though it took a while to get there.
Nice property but don’t expect a great view from your balcony. We reserved premium room and have ZERO view from balcony even though the place is mostly empty. Very disappointed, won’t return.
NOT HAPPY!
The experience felt more like a campsite than anything else. The lodging was very dated and showed its age everywhere you looked. The furniture was stained and torn. Our room only had a view of a pine tree. Pictures of lodge are deceptive as it is not indicative of the lodging. Not a good value for the money.
