The office person was very unfriendly. But the room had everything we needed. Nothing fancy but clean. The cleaning lady was very friendly and helpful. There was no coffee in the lobby or breakfast to go as advertised.

Im fixing up a home on Hamlin Lake and needed a place to stay relatively close by and chose the Ventura Motel. Great stay, friendly atmosphere, great accommodations, clean, good bed. Great Stay!

Could not use the microwave, it kept tripping the outlet. Dead bolt would not lock the door. No breakfast but is stated on the web side breakfast is included.

Poor breakfast offering. We went to a restaurant near the motel. The staff who checked us in was a very rude woman.

Are you sure you want to be in the hospitality business? Consider using a steam cleaner, power washer bleach carpet cleaner some elbow grease and a can of paint. Deep cleaning your rooms would be a major improvement. You have a fantastic location & a beautiful fresh water lake. Now you just need a clean motel.

We were very glad it was within walkable distance however when we got there the room was 78. The air conditioner did cool it eventually. The brochure stated conditional breakfast was included yet they did NOT offer it. We were told as of Labor Day it was discontinued. Desk man stated it was my fault for incorrect info because I booked it thru Hotels.com but I CALLED the motel personally before I booked it thru hotels.com and was told breakfast was included. I deserve better than that! There were also spider webs and flies on the floor and ceiling. Welcome to Ludington.

Uniquely classic 50s. Loved the old fashioned bathroom- so much like the home I grew up in. Two blocks from waterfront!! Closest neighbor a city park. Even a screen door. Price unbeatable. I don't particularly like cold, sterile modern (or fancy) hotels. Ventura was super clean, accessible and classic.
