We recently stayed at the Hyatt Ziva and unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations – especially given the price point and reputation of the property. First, the food was extremely disappointing. Not only was the quality mediocre at best, but a member of our group experienced food poisoning after dining at one of the Italian restaurants on-site. This alone should have prompted better food safety standards and a more appropriate response from management, but none was provided. Second, we were shocked to find that our personal belongings were removed by staff from the pool area without any notice or explanation. Apparently, we had been in the pool “too long” and they decided to confiscate our things something we’ve never experienced at any resort before. It felt intrusive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Overall, the service was inconsistent, the food made someone sick, and the way our belongings were handled was unprofessionally. We definitely will be going back to Dreams resorts and not booking with third party.

This hotel is under construction. There is no working elevators for our building. There are people hammering and working on the floor we are on. The food is not great. The pool entertainment decided when they wanted to do anything. Sometimes no entertainment all day. The sports bar is the same way. The rooms were ok, cooler in room didn’t work, can see the other person showering , no doors on the shower stall. Not what we expected.

I hadn’t realized before booking that the Hyatt Ziva’s beach isn’t swimmable, and I felt a little disappointed leading up to our trip because that was something I’d been looking forward to. But the moment we arrived, all of that melted away. The property is absolutely stunning and truly takes your breath away. What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the people. Every single staff member we encountered was genuinely warm, kind, and thoughtful. We felt so welcomed and cared for that by the end of our stay, it felt like we had built real connections with everyone. We can’t wait to come back. Staying here is absolutely worth it!

The property is beautiful and in excellent shape. Customer service is outstanding from every staff member at the hotel. It's a very family oriented hotel and is pretty quiet and calm. There are several restaurants, snack bars, and cafes that offer a variety of dining options that are very good quality. The area where the hotel is located is in the hotel beach zone that is very safe and walkable. Not that you'd need it but there are a couple of grocery superstores nearby for any necessary items.
