Shocking stay. Avoid avoid avoid
Where do I start, the room was filthy and the staff don’t care.
Our room was not cleaned, it was disgusting with wrappers, dirt and hair on the beds.
We complained on our first day (of 3) to reception and they told us that a cleaner would come….a cleaner never came. We told the cleaner the following day and she shrugged her shoulders. We mentioned this numerous times to reception and the hotel did nothing about it.
The hotel sees each customer as an opportunity to screw them, for example we arrived 30 minutes before check in time. We asked if we could leave our bags and come back and were told it’s £15 per bag to leave them in a storage room beside reception.
At check out we were told the same thing. We ended up using a local business instead.
Zedwell Piccadilly has the most amazing location…right in the middle of theatre land and west end. The entrance is tiny but opens up into an enormous open plan, very clean and well run check in area. The ‘Cocoon’ we had was for two people - it was very small BUT very clean and really all we needed. The bed was comfortable and all rooms are sound proofed so no traffic noise or being woken up be late comers. The shower was hot and the towels were big and soft. If you can do without the luxuries of TV and coffee making then this is a great option for a short stay in the middle of the city. Would definitely recommend.
No windows. If you can live with that, maybe the guest rooms migbt work for you. They are soundproof, temperature controlled - and very very very dark.
Very well situated hotel for the theatre district, great staff and very clean hotel. Small rooms lacking tea making facilities and no tv but if you’re simply looking for a place to drop your bags and rest your head this is perfect.
We were upgraded on arrival from a 4 to 8 berth but regardless beds super comfy, bathroom spotless, good shower and products. Area perfect. Staff obvious and helpful. Efficient brand. Would stay again cannot fault.
Really good as usual. Initially my room was a little noisy due to a festival but when I enquired what time it was due to finish I was quickly offered a different room at no extra cost which was excellent service.
The room was ok for an overnight stay. I had booked a room with a wooden pod but the room I was given was an empty grey walled box room with nothing but a bed and a mirror on the wall. The bathroom was nice as per the images. I didn't have time to report before going to meetings. The bed was comfortable. It seemed I may have had a 'accessible' room which may have been why the space was different to the images... who knows. But why should individual with accessible needs have a less appealing room? I would be interested to know if any rooms at the hotel did have the 'wooden bed pod' as advertised in their images. Given these are rooms with no windows, the blank grey room did make it depressing.
Terrible hotel!! Firstly self check-in was not working so they had us waiting for over 25 minutes, with no apology from the staff and they were very understaffed. Room was like a prison with no windows. Very run down and dirty.
The only good thing this hotel has going for it was location but personally I would rather stay further out and have a nice hotel room. I will never stay here again.
