Great hotel but avoid room 005

2nd stay at this hotel. The rooms are a good size for London. It was clean with quality amenities. Room 005 is a strange setup. The toilet is separate from the shower room. Not an issue in general, but it’s off the entry, across from the closest (also an odd location) and the door to access this space is heavy. Not great if you have to use the toilet in the middle of the night. There were also loud plumbing noises from other rooms audible in the bedroom.

Room was clean and very nice. The fan on the heating/cooling wasn’t working. Produced cool air but only at the unit itself. ( I googled the manual and was sure to be using correct settings at thermostat). Staff excellent and would stay again. I have noticed booking through hotels.com we get assigned rooms at the elevators. In this case room adjacent.elevators were quiet but guests congregate outside the room. Did not visit the bar but I’m sure it was great service.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived late and very tired, but they assisted us in getting to our room, carrying bags and opening doors. The service was top-notch, and the location was very convenient.

Great location but not the greatest hotel. Rooms are small & dated and in need of updates. Very expensive for what you get. Also left a piece of jewellery in the room, staff completely unbothered and unwilling to assist, apparently the only option is to return to collect in person within 7 days. Refused to post back after I offered to cover the costs. Organised a courier and on both attempts collection was denied.

We chose this hotel to attend a concert in Hyde Park, and it was a great convenient location, literally a 5 minute walk from Hyde Park. The hotel was clean, the room was nice and spacious with very clean and well stocked bathroom, coffee machine etc. Little pricey but I guess in line with London prices.

Lovely staff and good location, poorly maintained

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the location of the room was convenient to get to from Paddington station. However, our experience was affected by the condition of the room which seemed to be poorly maintained - The kitchen sink was tilting to one side, the overhead shower dripped, the toilet flush was slightly bashed in, the base of the magnifying mirror was hanging off and the hooks behind the door was not tight hence we had to hang our towels on a hanger. If the room were better maintained, this hotel would have been ideal.
