In a prime London location right opposite The Savoy. Staff are lovely, the place very clean. The hotel is very beautiful and the breakfast well worth it. Draw back was that if you get a single occupancy the mattress overhangs the bedsted so I spent the night trying not to slide over the edge onto the floor. Cannot comment on the larger rooms. It did, despite the mattress, feel like a welcoming hotel and on the whole a positive experience.

I was hugely impressed with the Strand Palace. Firstly, they offer single rooms at single room prices, meaning I didn’t have to pay for a double room just for me. Secondly, the reception staff at check-in was fast and friendly. Then the room, which was fantastic. Lovely decoration with nods to the art deco period, comfy bed, great bathroom. All in all, I loved this hotel and will definitely book again next time I’m in London.

The Strand Palace Hotel is a very nice hotel in a great location along the Strand - within walking distance to the Charing Cross rail station and other places of interest such as the Somerset House. I stayed in a classic single room with a twin bed and it was great. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and there are shutters for the window to block the light for an amazing sleep. One word of caution, if you are tall, the shower in the single rooms might be really tight. While the breakfast is convenient, it is not great, honestly. You’re better off going elsewhere. All in all though, a great, walkable place to stay close to everything!
