Room clean. Bed and bedding good. Bathroom clean and updated. Nespresso machine with pods, tea and kettle. Air con bit noisy but seemed to work. Nice bath robes and decent towels. Location ideal for museums. Paid for upgrade to room and it was modern and nice. Worth £40? Can’t say as I didn’t see the Grand King to compare. Breakfast was ok, not brilliant. Staff all good. Disappointing you have to pay a lot for a swim! Only negative is the stupid shower head - if you turn it on, you get soaked with cold water and rainfall showers are no good for a shower without hair washing.

Dated rooms. Beware - charge extra for the onsite gym and pool. Absolute rip off. Definitely not a fully equipped gym as advertised fit the size of the hotel. Card machine did not work on check out. Staff friendly. Breakfast nice.

Good location near the museums in South Kensington, lots of food options, shops nearby too! The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and brilliant service provided! The hotel itself is a little dated, however clean comfortable and good value.

The place was overall fine. I was really unhappy with the fitness facilities. For one thing, they charged 15£ per person per day. I had no idea about this because it’s buried in some obscure part of the Expedia listing. What’s more, the pool is not available for huge swaths of the day because of swim lessons. This is also not advertised, and it defeats the entire point of a hotel having a pool. I talked about this to staff, and nobody cared. Otherwise, I liked my stay fine.
