Our favourite London hotel! This gem of a boutique hotel is centrally located with great rooms and atmosphere but two things really set it apart. 1) The staff. Super friendly and efficient and they take the time to make you feel welcome and special. 2) The small details. The canapes in the room on arrival. The quality cafetiere coffee and real milk -. not those horrid little cartons. The lovely Floris toiletries. This is definitely our choice for future London trips.

WOW - In reading other reviews for the hotel, we were expecting good things but what we found was beyond fantastic! We absolutely loved the Montague and possibly our favorite aspect was the wonderful staff. The staff as a team welcomed us into their "home". Being first time visitors to London, the staff was so helpful with travel, directions and recommendations to make our stay the best ever. We have visited many hotels, and the Montague was our absolute favorite. It is beautiful and full of English charm with different dining options. We loved the breakfasts and couldn't believe how great they were - we looked forward to our fresh squeezed orange juice and the simplicity of great toast along with all the other items. Perfect start to the day. Serigo and the rest of the wait staff are the best! They all were friendly and kind. The location is ideal and close to so many sites and activities. Staying at the Montague will always be a favorite memory of our time in London.

All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We had several questions about transportation and best options for reaching the tube and were very grateful for their suggestions. The only real problem was that the shower is in an elevated tub and was difficult to get in and out of because I'm short, plus not as spry as I used to be. :-)

It is a questionable for me

I had to take cold water showers in a very small space. I would say 3 x 3 feet. The water was all over and soaked wet outside after. The floor was soaked wet the floor also the bath mat. It was horrible.. the worst shower experience ever. Hotel stuffs were so nice and friendly.
